The solution to rotation issues with the frother have been soved finally by myself after reading all the suggestion. The fix is simple... Your attachments have been magnitised and need to be demagnetized. It works a beauty. Run a magnet around the metal rings. Hint. Never leave them on the the frother when not being used.
wow.. I have the exact same problem & i too am in Mumbai... Thanks for the solution... will try it today ;) Hope it works for me too
Fantastic! It worked for us. Many thanks.
Worked instantly! Thanks. I used a magnet from inside an old hard disk. Also ran the magnet around the "stem" inside the aerocino.
Worked like a charm. Thanks so much!!!!!
Unbelievable! I thought this solution was a joke, but I tried it was a strong fridge magnet. The froth is back.
Amazing - truly thought this wouldn't work but a simple magnet and the frother is working again - thank-you SO much.
I saw this and I thought sure why not give it a try? I used a tiny fridge magnet and pushed the activator button and YES.... Success! I almost threw my Keurig milk frother away which cost me $70! I hadn't used it in a long time and barely much at all before that so it was such a eureka moment that this fix was SO So simple!! Thankyou!
How exactly do you demagnetized it? Do you put the fridge magnet on the black spin attachment or on the spinning prong on the frother? For how long?
Wow you're a genius Douglas! I also used a small magnet on my refrigerator and Bazinga!
Thanks a million :)
Maybe I'm overthinking a simple thing but I can't seem to understand how you do it. I've tried several different options and neither seem to work. Could you please explain step by step how you do it. I've watched videos about remagnetization and still nothing. Do you turn the spinner on magnet or you swipe in in one direction? And how many times you do it? I need my morning latte :(
my sister took the plastic frothed piece and put it straight on the circle of the hot plate (while it wasn’t hot) and just twisted it until it started working. Idk if this makes sense but yeah
I’ve owned several Capresso milk frothers and each one, over time, would not froth as well and get a little noisy to run. I tried the magnet suggestion above and it works! I clean the disk each day and now no longer let it sit inside the pitcher unless I’m using it. I take a simple magnet and just rub it on the back of the disk for about 30 seconds going in a clockward direction (though I doubt it matters). I rub the magnet every day just before using. Believe me, I’ve tried everything I know to get the disks to continue to perform and the magnet has made all the difference.
The magnet claim is a total crock. The Farberware connection method between the base and the container is one of the worst designs ever. The spring clips quickly get weak and corroded. Leaving milk in the container too long shouldn't be a concern but it seems to be, and it might mean it leaks into the electric part of the container which is BAD. The motor is in the container, not the base, or the metal/copper rings.
Did not work for me. Tried different methods but nothing. After all, it is not clear what may happen to the whisk which only has a pair of magnets and a spring. Spring is not magnetised (try yours against any metal object to test). Small magnets on each side are still functioning as you would expect. You cannot do much with an external magnet really. Sounds like a prank.

Good luck, same happened with ours. Solution? Buy a new one.
Testimonial: "i called them and replacing it seemed to be the only solution !!"
Had the same problem. Try cleaning the inside circle of the frothing attachment. If it's not perfectly clean, it can't rotate.
I was able to get my machine working again by cleaning the connection underneath the container. (ie where the electrical contacts are). I used an old, dry toothbrush to access inside the well, and it was very simple. I think a little rust had developed, due to the difficulty drying inside there after cleaning.
Dear Amanda, How were you able to access the inside?
Hi Ellen, it's not really inside the machine that you need to access. If you turn the machine upside down you'll see a hole or well which fits over the "prong" on the base. I found the metal parts in the hole were rusty, so I used the toothbrush to reach in and clear off the rust. I hope this helps.
