Lorex SG 6157 need to know what the four wires go to blue black re yellow

Red & Black are PRETTY MUCH always the Transformer Pwr (12v delivered: (9V DC working...Red is positive)).

So the video should be your yellow & blue/
(I thought green (but what do I know)).

I have every confidence your cables are going someplace EVEN MORE COMPLEX you have not even mentioned. You really need to share that BEFORE DEFINATIVE answers can be given abort ONE end of your cable.

The primary question
Are you using Philips/BNC (cannon-PWR)/ connectors or the RJ45 type... using individual power transformers or Power Distribution panel... Direct to a video screen (TV monitor).. or a NVR real-time matrix... or DVR recording system

Comment back if you are serious with configuration information... If I don't know your answer straight away I can get you pointed in the right direction.

Too much power and now lorex camera wont turn on

You destroyed the camera. Lorex won't cover that under warranty either. Since you didn't use the power adapter that came with the camera you'll have to get another camera and connect it correctly

My camera is hooked up to my tv as instructed but nothing happened. Is there a special channel that you put your tv on in order to get a view

Connect the yellow connector of the camera to the TV Video input 1 or 2
Using the remote select the right video input on your TV by pressing, Video or Source on the remote to select the video input 1 or 2 whichever, input you connected the camera to that input needs to be active using the remote or keypad on the side of your TV set.

NO volume

often people make the mistake of hooking their devices to the tv using more than one input.  a cable box for example may have many different types of outputs but you are only going to use one to the tv (preferrably the highest quality connection). try switching the inputs on the tv to see if you get the same picture on two different inputs.   If using s-video, you will also need a red & white RCA cable for audio.  The order of video cable quality from lowest to highest is this: Coax(screw on), Composite(yellow, red, white), S-video(Round)+(red,white), Component(video=red, green, blue), HDMI(carries HD video & sound)
