I have found the fault with my mixer ( UB2442fx pro) but I need to be able to identify 2 components that need replacing. The first is the rotary pot vr96 (aux 3 / fx) and the second is the rotary function switch SW1 (efx selector) Both components are made by Alps and available, I just need to know the value of the VR and the Alps part no of the switch. Both are still fully functioning but have been physically damaged. There is a compny here in the UK who can supply these parts, but I do not know which ones to order. Many thanks

The VR96 is a 50K "G" taper or "graphic taper" pot. Lots of luck trying to find that in a catalog... I finally got a scrapped piece of mixer board and salvaged one. The G taper is not stocked by any of the vendors like Digikey or Mouser here. Full Compass is the Behringer part distributor and I waited 6 months and got no delivery of one of these pots. The effects selector is a rotary encoder quadrature type. Use the Mouser.com catalog. Search for Encoder, then select ALPS manufacturer and then try to match up mounting and type using the spec drawings... with push switch also... Again, if you want to try Full Compass, you can call Behringer rep in Woodinville WA USA to get the Behringer part number and incident number to see if Full Compass might have one in stock.

Here is the maintenance schematics for your unit...VR96 is on page 7 of 32. :

Scroll down to "get manual" and click on it to download. IGNORE other download links as they are for viewers, etc.

Note, You may have to cut off a shaft on replacement to the right length to match existing shaft.

How do you set up for a simple pa system?

It Depends how many Channels you are wanting for a basic 2 deck set up using Cdj's you would want 4 channel 2 per deck 1 master out and 1 booth so you can hear it through your head phones but if you were doing Karaoke you would want 6 channels for 2 microphones all going 2 the master out. but it changes again if us software and controller because most software has an internal and external mix mode. Here is a video that might help

Only the left channel on the whole board works. Is there some part that might be replaced to fix the right channel?

First analysis needs to be done to isolate what can be discovwered before opening the unit. Does the sound appear in BOTH sides of the headphones? There are MANY components that can kill the right side including cracked circuit board. Beyond a certain point one would use an oscilloscope to troubleshoot.

I'm looking for a solution how can i connect my

You can use the compressor in two ways. 1st you can go inline from the main outputs into the compressor out of the compressor to the rest of the world using normal cables. You may also insert the compressor into the main inserts using a cable that is tip, ring, sleeve 1/4", to seperate 1/4" tip sleeve mono plugs. any more questions give us a call at the store 215-736-8055

When i have my FX on and sending to main they make a horrible clicking (shorting out) sound. if I push the main mix button it shuts off the effects and the noise goes away...bad side...then I have no...

Check the 5 volts to the FX unit, If the voltage is low, the FX processor will keep reseting generating clicks, In a different product, the 5 volt filter cap was degraded and voltage dipped down to 4.5 volts causing resets.

Will a Behringer UB2442fx-PRO run 2 main PA speakers plus two passive stage monitors without blowing up?

ALL the speakers will either have to be POWERED or have external amplifiers. The mixer has NO power amps capable of driving speakers. When connecting, make sure that the mixer is powered by the same receptacle as the speakers or amps. Used balanced line for interconnection.
