There doesn't appear to be an easy reset method in the manual. Try disconnecting the power adapter for 2 minutes or perhaps overnight. You may need to open it up and disconnect the backup battery to effect a reset. You will lose saved numbers and message.
You have no new messages waiting, but your phone says you do Vista 390-350 - Go through the options menu on your telephone and select the Clear Msg Wtg Light option. Regency series - Press and hold down the star * key for five seconds while the phone is hung up.
You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
It states on page 13, that you press the right side of the speaker control button to turn the ringer on and set its volume.

If you have subscribed to Bell Answer, just lift the receiver and dial *94. After the beeps, enter the number of rings you want before it answers. You will hear a double beep, then hang up. Your rings will have been changed to the number you selected. Repeat as required.
It took me some time, but I found out from the manufacturer Aastra (1-800-288-1683), that the issue with the Vista 390 hands free speaker is related to your internet connection. If your internet is connected to your phone line, you will need to put at least 2 DSL filters on your Vista phone line. I had to put 3 before I could use the speaker phone feature properly. 1 filter by the wall, one by the phone and had to connect a 3rd one before the two-way speaker feature would work properly. Your phone service provider should be able to provide you with these DSL filters...
After consulting with the phone manufacturer I accessed voice mail and used the * key to exit voice mail. This reset the message light to operate properly.
Change the cartridge message. I changed both black & color but still the same message would appear. I can NOT make any maintenance ( cleaning the nozzle,....)
