Where can I get hose ,hose attachments for my Goldstar dehumidifier? Can not locate my manual or attachments.

It just pulls straight out.

The hose is optional.You will have to empty the water bin every now & then yourself when full.The hose drain has to run to a sink or floor drain for convienece if the unit is HIGHER THAN location.

a dehumid wont work properly below 60 degrees
or 40 percent humidity

Most brands have a fitting molded into the drain pan that will let you attach a garden hose to the tank. You may have to drill a hole in the fitting to allow the water to drain through.

There should be a spot on the water tank, that is threaded to fit a hose, but is blocked by a piece of plastic. You must remove the plastic "plug", the connect a hose to it. Also there is a "special" part that could be used. This part can be found at http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/search/modelinfo.php?modelsID=117164, and I am sure other places also. yep home depot get one with holes and a plastic tie will keep it in place

Your dehumidifier should have come with a tube which would allow you to do this very easily. I beleive the part number is 5214A20027B.

The hose connector does not drain the bucket, it drains the condensate before it enters the bucket. Tube passes through back of dehumidifier by the cord wrap area. (you may have to remove a small cover)

Check the connection where you attached the hose. It may be plugged or covered by a plastic film from when it was molded.

In short, there is a small hole in the back of the dehumidifier between the cord handles. There will be a cap held in place over the hole by three small connectors. With some pliers, remove the hole cover. Take your hose connector and place it in the hole until it won't go any further (you can feel it hit the front of the water bucket). The instructions will show pressing the tab of your hose connector into the bottom of the hole to hold it in place. Don't know about yours, but mine is too long to do that. Connect a short length of garden hose to the threaded end of the connector and you've got it. Instructions say hose has to be flat leading straight from the dehumidifier to a drain, so don't place the draining end of the hose up in a sink or anything, use a floor drain. Hope this helps!
