Hi First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump
assembly located inside the lower front panel of the washer. If the issue
returns after its cleaned then it means that the control board has gone bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance. Daniel
Hi If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:- If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. Hi
The issue is with the door lock assembly that is bad and
should be replaced. If the door lock assembly is bad the control will sense
that the door is open and so will not start a spin cycle. If you want you can
test the door lock assembly with a voltmeter before replacing it. Hope this
helps...please post back for further assistance.

as the power indicator does not illuminate, this doesn't appear to be a timer issue or water source issue. Its more main power related. Is there an internal fuse in this washer?
drain is not blocked. as cycle stopped in mid-cycle with water in the drum, I opened drain and ltsa water flowed out. there's no internal fuse? how difficult is it to replace the control board? Where do I get a new control board?
and are you saying that a blocked drain would stop the power light from even coming on?
