Hi my printer only prints photo, no words. what is the problem?

Hi, First clean the print head and clean the nozzles. Reset your printer and select best quality printing in printer properties. Finally you have to replace the cartridges.

do the normal copies of microsoft worf comes out properly without any spitting.then its the setting problem in your printer .you can change the settings through printer properties --just adjust the photo settings in your printer and it will print the photos.
but if the word document are also having the same problem its the printer problem get the replacement as the printer is new.

This is the problem of printer's driver, it may be corrupted so reinstall or update the driver.

Just replacing the plain paper with photo paper is not sufficient. You have to tell the printer you are using photo paper.
For you have to select the print preferences /or properties or features (the wording will be different for different printers). Find where the option for various papers and select the photo paper. and do the correct submenu selection as well.
After doing all these print.

the head may have got jammed....kindly remove the head and try cleaning it

When you print on the PDF, before you will start printing check the settings of the printer. You can see the printer named? find the printer you are using.

This is a photo printer. My regular printer will not print photos and if I am correct photo printers will not print regular documents. They are made for separate document types (ex. doc and jpeg). This is so the corporate winners can steal more money from the consumer. I am sure there are printers out there that do both, but your printer is specifically a photo printer. Ask a tech at Best Buy or Circuit City. Let me know what they say.

What photo program do you use? Is the yellow background on all Word doc's? You should check WORD go to the Format|Background make sure "no fill" is selected. You should also check your print properties in control panel and any special program DELL uses. Make sure there isn't some custom setting that is printing the yellow background.
