I have a Juki ddl 8700 complete with table and clutch motor , everything is pretty together and belt is on but the belt is hitting the wood table on the side before I even push down on the pedal and when I look at other tables and machines before their pedal is pushed it is at least an inch and a half away from the slot beveled out of the table . Is there anything that can move the whole clutch pully down below the table over or , I don't know I am kinda stuck. Thanks for your help . Jonathon

Your table sounds like it was cut for a different machine..You might be able to move your motor over to where the belt will come straight down from the handwheel. There is some adjustment that can be made with a wrench on the large nuts that hold the motor up to the table. Good luck.

SOURCE: Assembling new juki ddl 5500

Most of the time the rubber inserts have a slot in the edge of them to slide over the ears on the pan , slide them on all 4 corners and then put the assembly into the table , slide everything to the front of the table. the nail will go through both the rubber and the pan. Use a good quality ,oil resistant sealer , between the rear edge and the table to prevent the oil from splashing out while operating . If your corner cushion does not have the slots in them , put the pan in first nail in place rubber goes on top . Sometimes the rubber needs to be trimmed to height for a perfect head to table fit . The head should be level with the top and the rubber also for a smooth fabric flow while you are sewing. Hope this will help.

On the motor where the clutch is you will see thge large pin with a nut on it, as you press on the pedal the pin engages with the motor, if you loosen the nut and unscrew the pin bit by bit and try the machine you will get to a point where you will have absolute control on the speed.

Juki DDL 8700 Lockstitch Sewing Machine doesn't connect the foot pedal to the needle.

Hi,

Since you took the sewing machine apart, i believe that the reconstruction process was missing a step.

You might check that the belt was placed according to the steps in your product instruction manual. It might have been accidentally placed in reverse.

After that I would use those instructions to start double check that you put together your sewing machine properly after your move.

Thank you.

How do I stop my Juki DDL-8700 machine from skipping stitches?

set up on quilting table? wheres the oil pan?? if your machine sews fine straight and skips on curves i think you are lifting the presser ft as you make the turn. theres nothing wrong with the machine. you could always change the needle which is always the first thing when you encounter a sewing problem.
