On 1.Select a task choose Software & Driver Downloads and on 2.Enter a product number, type your laptop model "presario f500" and click on the submit button. Next is choose the exact model of your laptop then select your operating system. Hope this helps.

goto compag.com and select drivers and support simply type your model into the box and select the drivers you need, you should just get a fresh copy off the net..

Try reinstalling the sound and network driver using the driver cd of your laptop.
