The panel on my GE Profile dishwasher is nonresponsive despite the electrical power to the unit being okay. Whenever I push one of the panel buttons, nothing happens. On a portion of the panel there is a message: "To lock controls, press heated dry for 3 aseconds" Is it possible the controls have been inadvertently locked up. If so, how do I unlock the system?

When the program is switched on if there is no water flow despite the fact that the inlet flow is good, then the inlet valve is defective. it can be a failed valve if there is no action and if the flow is low then it can be a clogged valve. Remove, back flush and reset, if not replace, provided there is power to the valve.
try running an extension cord and plugging into a different outlet and see if anything changes, if it still doesn't do anything, jot down model # etc. from label, should be an 800 # to call for tech support, or an email, could be a place to start

The only way we have been able to fix this is to turn off the breaker to the dishwasher for 5 minutes and then turn the power back on. The dishwasher should reset.
The electricity probably "surged" when the power came back on. It sounds lke the conrol board may have "fried". Call the repairman and get an estimate.
Mine was doing the same thing. It was eligible for a recall.
