Hi all my dell inspiron 1545 makes a very strange electricity voice coming out of the charging plug Whether its plugged in or not and sometimes it randomly shuts down without saving my settings please help it's under Warranty i just want to know what to fix in it

It's probably the connection that's the problem. If the wiring is damaged, it wont likely pass a current to the battery itself. I suggest getting your laptop serviced.

Buy a replacement cord\charger at a computer store or online, make sure the power specs match. If you are refering to the AC power plug JACK in your computer, similar to this:http://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=9377&gclid=ciw47k7sulmcfqufnqodreeaew. I would take it to a Qualified Computer tech, or send it to the manufactor, Dell in you case. Unless you have the tools and expertise. It can be done but are you comfortable doing it?

1 Possibly the generic power supply plug has the wrong polarity.
2 Possibly the plug is not quite the right size for your PC, hence not making good contact.

The strange noise coming from your charging plug means it is grounded to prevent much more problem use the warranty of your notebook and bring it to the nearest service station so that skilled technician will fix it...

I've seen that some Dells don't charge their batteries correctly when they're not also turned on.
Take notice if that's the case as it'll be inconvenient if you expect to have a full charge after leaving it plugged in, but powered down.
Additionally, those batteries do age and slowly 'go bad'. You should also consider the age of your computer/battery and think about how long you intend to keep it, as opposed to the cost of a battery replacement.

Unfortunately this appears to be a fault with the charger, which will need replacing.

its the charger if the charger is longer before trie changing the battery or if that doesnt work u have to replace the motherboard (around 155.00 GBP)

Ya this is a AC adapter Failure if there is no blue light then ,if you have any other known good AC adapter to try with if it works then it faulty call DELL with see whether your system is in warranty, there is 20 digit long serial no on the dell ac adapter,they will replace it if it is in warranty

make sure the wep key is correct as this can have strange effects. also, make sure the dongle is a tight fit as sometimes if not you may loose connection.
