I need the picture settings for a trutech tv. For example : number for contrast .

Better to get a Facsimile Remote, a copy made for the unit. It is unlikely, you can input codes to work both applications in a combined set.

Image quality using default factory settings is awful. Colors are over-blown, faces are washed-out, and highlights are cropped. People on the internet compained that there is no brightness control -- there is..but its hidden in a menu. Press the Setup button on the remote and move to the "System" settings. I've found these settings produce a fairly correct balance of color, detail, and brightness:

* Brightness=5
* Contrast=1
* Saturation=2

55% Contrast, 35% Color and brightness to match will give you a vivid picture to your TV.

You should NOT have to turn CONTRAST up to more than 70%....brightness controll should be set MUCH lower......sharpness should be adjusted left or right to get rid of graininess(sp) of picture... turn color all the way down then move up according to how you like colour!

Find what the low and high numbers are and set them to the middle, e.g. 0-10 set on 5 This is the optimized condition from the engineers. Then you can increase or decrease each parameter to your likings.

I have a sansui 19" LCD TV+DVD
I had to attempt multiple times turning the TV on to get a picture. The sound was fine. This kept happening when I would go to turn on the set the TV kept playing fine with picture & sound but after the 2nd attemts I turned it off & then tried to turn it back on which took multiple attempts, it kept playing for a few minutes then the picture went out but the sound was still there.
The set is not yet 2 years old.
