I figured out the problem. My Amcor portable started leaking after the fill light came on for the first time in years. After doing some research I saw that it uses the water to cool some other part of the system to evaporate out the exhaust. So I took the ******* apart and messed with things. Finally I started pouring water into different trays and noticed it would not drain down from the top tray even when running. So I removed the top part and found the drain hole. Blasted that sum ***** with some compressed air and WAMMO it works again.

Dehumidifying is a product of AC, that is a good thing, water on the floor is not. Do you have the ability to drain the water away to a floor drain or somewhere? Or just drain the catch pan, on what ever schedule it takes to prevent over flow. You obviously have a very high humidity, if your house is tight you should start to see the condensate water slow down.

Does this product need to be drained daily? Or does it depend on the humidity of the room?

Also it's leaking from all sorts of spots. If it tilt it forward lt backwards the water just will leak out and not just a drop or two, it pours out!!

To drain it, we put it put side the window. It's heavy, and is a pain!!! Any easier way?

The relative humidity plays a big part of how much water it will collect, if you drain the pan does it leak, or is it over flowing? If is leaking from where is should not be, leaking not much I can tell you unless its new, then return it.

My portoable ac is leaking on the floor . am i suppose to have a hose connected to the drain on the bottom in the back of the unit. please explain how i am suppose to drain my machine

a hose is only used for continued drainage in to a floor drain or sump. With out he hose, it's supposed to have a screw in plug to keep the water from flowing onto the floor. Then you would drain it into a low sided container that can hold at least 1 quart of water. Normally, the unit should warn you when it needs draining.

Hope this helped you.

The air conditioner is cooling but it is dripping water on the floor, lots of it, I mopped up more than a gallon for less than 24 hours use.

It sounds as if the drain plug on the back of the unit, down near floor level is loose or missing
Check for that first, because the unit is supposed to shut off automatically, when the drain pan is full. If the plug is leaking or missing, the unit doesn't sense, that the drain pan is full. Also, be sure you exhaust ducts are not bowing down a great deal or trapping exhausted moisture in the duct, that should be exhausted out the window.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

I had the same problem. The insulation on the coper line was loose and the pipe was exposed. The water was condensation , not water from the drain.

Air condition leakes water

you can get a small condensate pump, and run the hose to a drain like a sink or toilet, you may have to trick the switch if you have to put the pump inside, where the bucket would fit.

Amcor ALD12000E portable air conditioner shuts down every hour

Is it leaking or shutting off on the overfill?
If it is leaking you have a stopped up drain inside the unit.

Water leak

First you have to unplug or "off" the circuit breaker, then install the drain hose.
