I figured out the problem. My Amcor portable started leaking after the fill light came on for the first time in years. After doing some research I saw that it uses the water to cool some other part of the system to evaporate out the exhaust. So I took the ******* apart and messed with things. Finally I started pouring water into different trays and noticed it would not drain down from the top tray even when running. So I removed the top part and found the drain hole. Blasted that sum ***** with some compressed air and WAMMO it works again.

Dehumidifying is a product of AC, that is a good thing, water on the floor is not. Do you have the ability to drain the water away to a floor drain or somewhere? Or just drain the catch pan, on what ever schedule it takes to prevent over flow. You obviously have a very high humidity, if your house is tight you should start to see the condensate water slow down.
Does this product need to be drained daily? Or does it depend on the humidity of the room?
Also it's leaking from all sorts of spots. If it tilt it forward lt backwards the water just will leak out and not just a drop or two, it pours out!!
To drain it, we put it put side the window. It's heavy, and is a pain!!! Any easier way?
The relative humidity plays a big part of how much water it will collect, if you drain the pan does it leak, or is it over flowing? If is leaking from where is should not be, leaking not much I can tell you unless its new, then return it.
i went to homedepot with drainage plug and got some tubing..now i have tubing goin to bucket... unit doesnt shut off and no need to try to drain,..just need to empty bucket
