Does'nt seem to spinn all the water out - Amana NAV5800A Top Load Washer

Possible bad water temperature sensor.

A good place to start with Dewalt tools is the switch. Take the front off the handle and pull the switch out far enough to test the posts on the back. Plug the cord in and check for voltage where the cord attaches to the switch. No voltage, bad cord, replace the cord. If you have voltage, the cord is good. With some help, hold the switch on and check for current on the motor side of the switch. If no voltage, replace the switch. If there is voltage there, you are going to have to check the brushes, armature and/or field for continuity or shorts.

Check the voltage comes to the fan first. If voltage is there and fan does not spins, either the fan is strucked by some external substances like dust or so. Check whether it can be turned freely by hand. If there is no fiction found in tuning the fan, replace it. It is faulty. If it is dusty, clean it. OK.

The slope away from the window should be 1/2". Also, check the drain hole outside on the drain pan. It may be clogged.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to make sure you don't have a frozen pulley. The belt may be causing the smoke you are seeing. It may be coming from the motor drive. None the less, it needs checked out.

I don't know the model specifically, but check for sticky one-way clutch and release mechanism. This problem occurs where the main seal has failed, allowing water down onto the mechanism.

Depending on how high your drain hose is some of the water after the final spin can drain back into the outer tube of the machine. This wont hurt anything but when not using the maching, not a bad idea to leave the door ajared to prevent the washer from giving off a bad odour,

it sounds like your pump has gone

The belt is replaced by loosening the tensioner.

then slip it off the pulleys.
