SOURCE: Removed SD Card is everpresent in the notification

Your SD card is corrupted. Since it's corrupt (or worse, broken), the G1 won't be able to mount it to your computer via USB and you will have to insert it into your computer via an adapter. From there you can format the drive (make sure it's formatted fat32) and it should be fine. I've fragged my SD cards a couple of times and had to format. If you are unable to re-format the SD card, then there may have been some sort of actual, physical damage to it, although that's unlikely.

SOURCE: MY G1 KEEP SAYING INSERT THE SD CARD AND I HAVE

Does the card "read" in a computer, or other phone? There the steps to try first, Also make sure its of a capacity the G1 supports, if the card does read in another device then your phone needs looking at, maybe try a freinds card in your phone? also if your card doesnt read in other devices, then your card looks like it is faulty.

Keeps saying sd card removed when its clearly in!!

i recently bought a used g1 from a friend and tried to insert an sd card but it said the same thing sd card removed the card is fine then i did some researching and found out that the q1 has a sensor in the sd card cover which if it is opened it will say that message now my problem is that the cover is broken so i am currently working on a solution to that but if it is not broken then just try taking the sd card out turn off the phone and insert the sd card and properly close the cover make sure it is not opened even the slightest then turn your phone bak on and it should work unless the actual sd card reader is damaged or the sd card itself. hope this information was helpfull

Received G1 replacement phone i put my existing SIM card into the replacement and in the notifications bar it says SD card removed, insert new one. the SIM card works fine in my current G1

Sounds like you are replacing the SD card, not the SIM card. The SIM is underneath the battery. It's a small white rectangle missing a corner.

Sd card is not working

Try cleaning the pins of SC Card with contact cleaner or alcohol if you prefer make sure its dry enough before inserting. If nothing happens try detecting it on PC Desktop with proper Card reader, backup files if you still can then reformat thE SD Card. Reinsert in your HTC G1 if successful reformat it again using your HTC G1 to acquire compatabilty on the device.. hope this help...

Saying Insert SD Card When Its Inserted

well i had the same problem so i took it to tmobile and the guy on the register inserted a new SD card and he said that my old SD card was ful. so i ask him how can i clear it out and he showed me this lil usb SD card reader that they sell at the store and it was 9.99. but other then that basiclly it means that your SD card us full and you just hook it up to the usb SD card reader and plug it to any computer and go back and clean your files and re-use it again. thats about it. hope that help! : )
