If you've got any wiggle in the connector on the device, it's broken lose. If not, you've got bigger issues. Either way, it's a trip to the shop, or replacement time.

Testimonial: "Thanks, that's what I was thinking also. I hate it but I'm gonna have to skip my book tonight. Thanks for the input."

Is there a battery you can replace on the literati ereader only had sinceDec..been charged but will not turn on..hit reset did nothing?please help spent alot of money on Kobo books.

MY e-reader would not turn on either. I charged it overnight and tried the reset. I called the company and he told me that it sounds like the battery and it cannot be replaced due to the fact it is sealed. My loss! I can recover the books I bought from Kobo though.

My literati wont turn on even if i push the reset button on the back. the battery was fully charged when i turned it off, and when i tried to turn it back on to read nothing happens.

Hm. Not sure how much help I'll be, but I'll give it a shot.
- Make sure the device is charged for at least 6 hours if this is its first use. If it isn't, charge it for several hours anyway and try it again. Make sure the charger is plugged all the way into the outlet and all the way into the device (mine sticks out about an eighth of an inch, yours might too). - Call customer service at 866-204-4714 and describe the issue. I had something a little like this issue (I was stuck at "Literati" screen) and they said to drain the battery and recharge it fully to see if it made any difference, and that if it didn't work they'll be sending along a package to ship it back to them for a replacement. If nothing works, ship it back to them for a replacement.

My literati won't turn on and I thought it may not be charged but when I charge it, the screen doesn't turn on still.

My Literati doesn't start. I tried to rest it, but nothing happened. I plug it in the power for more than an hour and tried again to reset it, but a gain no sign of life in it. Any suggestions.

I can't get my literati's wifi to work. i have the password to a secure network but when i try to connect it says it is unable to connect. also when it is plugged into my computer, nothing happens.

I was having this same problem...not connecting with password or when plugged into computer. So I kept playing with it and found out as soon as I typed in the encryption key (the long encryption code...it was around 9 letters and numbers combined) IT WORKED!! Make sure you copy it exactly as shown on your computer...lower case, upper case, etc. I was so surprised, but now I am able to get into the store, etc. Hopefully, this helps you!

How do you know when your literati is charging

In the upper left hand corner of your Literati there dispalys a battery looking icon. In this icon will display a cable plug once you connect the charging cable.

Frozen lliterati, won't turn off

Mine was frozen and kept flashing the opening screen. I had to plug it in with the charger and then hold the reset button for a full minute before mine would shut off and start working again. I have a feeling though that I will have to repeat this every time I turn it off to charge it.
