It could be because when you replaced the batteries in the remote, it defaulted back to command mode 1 (DVD 1/MODE 1/REMOTE 1) so the transmitter on the remote no longer matches the unit - you could try pressing and holding both the [2] button and the [ENTER/OK] buttons on the remote for more than 5 seconds, then releasing. Sometimes with Panasonic remote units, whenever the batteries are replaced, the remote defaults back to the original mode. (mode 1); therefore the user needs to recode the remote to match the command of the receiving unit.

Simple enough to try, and costs nothing, except a minute or so of your time. This suggestion should be mentioned in the operation manual for your model system.

Why won't my samsung smart tv emote wont change chanel

It needs to be Re-Paired to the TV.

First, fresh batteries, and clean battery contacts if needed.

Then, Try Pairing procedure:

  1. TV off
  2. Bring remote within 3 feet of TV
  3. Push Pairing button (Paper Clip or other pointed object in button hole)
  4. Turn on TV
  5. Should be paired. Try remote channel or other buttons.
  6. If not, try 2 more times.
  7. If still not working, push RESET button first and repeat Pairing.

Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.

  1. TV off

My samsung remote BN59-00852A just stopped working, it wont control the tv. i changed the batteries but still nothing. please help

Try the instructions below. If you need to replace the remote, you can order one from:
http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=BN59-00852A&uuid=12967730823440

Before replacing the remote, try the following:
How to Re-Start Your "Dead" Remote Control This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls. Good Luck!
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Step 5- Try the remote.

Special Note:
If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the TV unit.

Let me know if you have further questions. Please make sure to rate this solution. Thanks.

Wii controler doesnt sync

Are the batteries in your Wii Remote dead? You will need to replace them. Use 2 AA size batteries.

Already tried this? The batteries could be inserted the wrong way. Look closely at the battery slots. You should see 2 battery icons. Look at the - and +, and insert them like it says in the icon.
