Frigidaire affinity indicates 'err' light - nothing else

Did you figure out this problem? I think these machines are JUNK! We purchased our first Frigidaire Affinity in April 2010 & by September it started ripping our clothes apart. Not every cycle. At first we thought it was the dryer but nope - it was the washer. Something to do with the drum. We had it replaced in October 2010. Then after the truck dropped off the replacement, I tried doing my first load of laundry. It lite up & did nothing. Something to do with the motor. Again, we had a 3rd machine replacement. I wanted to give up, get my money back & go buy something else but I wanted it to match my dryer so I was kinda stuck. Our 3rd machine is now going to pause constantly during a cycle. I've read up on it & tried various things such as less soap, checking the drain etc. & nothing has changed this problem. I'm calling the store on Monday & demanding my money back & they can take back the dryer too. I have a feeling this might be a bit of a fight but I am disappointed with the results of this machine. We've lost about $100+ in clothing from the first machine, plus all the down time in all 3 of these machines not working & having to worry about going to do laundry elsewhere.

The LOC code merely means the control responded and locked the door. You'll find a tech sheet under the top panel of the machine to help guide you thru the diagnostic process, which is fairly involved.

LOC means it thinks the control panel is locked. This gives the ERR indication when you push the buttons. To unlock it you need to hold down the Options and Select buttons together until it reacts.

I know this may seem silly but - On the top right back corner of your washer hit it with medium force with your fist, this helps.

My Fridgidaire Affinity front load washer has a ERR pause and I can't reset it. How do I clear this

I have had that problem before...Try unplugging it and plugging it back in...sometimes it's almost like dealing with a computer.

first try the simple step, unplug unit for 60 secounds, then replug unit back up. reset load and see if that works. let me know if I can be of further assistance.

un plug the washer for 5 minutes and re try

that was just happening a few seconds ago with mine and i just tried pusing the control button and the options button at the same time for a few seconds... i reopened the door and pressed start again...it's running now... good luck

OK i had this , 2 times, take the seal off and then take the door latch off and unhook all the plugs and wait 6 min then rehook everyhting and turn it back on and wait a couple min then try

Ok the washer is telling you we have a problem. I will tell you how to retrieve the code and then ill tell you what that code means
1. Wake the washer by pressing any button.
2. Wait 5 seconds.
3. Press and HOLD the Start/Pause and Cancel
buttons simultaneously. As long as the buttons are
held, the failure code will appear in the display as an
E followed by two numbers, a number and a letter or
two letters. The controlwill beep and the Door Lock,
Wash, Rinse, and Final Spin indicator lights will
flash.
