Palm TX. The status bar has disappeared and does not now show

It means that there is an error somewhere in there, so you need to hard reset or try these steps.
1. Wait for the Orange Palm image to pop up (it's the one that has the loading bar)
2. Hold up as the bar at the bottom of the screen loads.
3. Once the bar disappears, let go of up,
4. If your pda continues on, find any application that could be causing this problem and delete it.
5. Reset, and see if it will load on it's own. If not, repeat steps 1-4. Otherwise, problem solved.

2. click on the 'View' tab.
3. - in 'Window Options' section, ensure that the 'Horizontal
scroll bar' and 'Vertical scroll bar' options are selected.
-- PowerPoint - in the 'Show' section, ensure that the 'Status bar'
and 'Vertical ruler' are selected.
4. click OK.

It sounds like the battery might be dead. If I were you I would take advantage of the free chat that palm provides to their customers. I have used it in the past always with good results. I am including a link to that page. Best wishes.

Hello, I had the same problem for 10 long months until today, I needed my palm for a specific work I can only do with my T|X, and I resumed my research for a solution for this issue, and I found an app called PowerDigi, after I installed it (480 resolution version) and executed it in my T|X, (it has a 70 target points calibration mode so it's far more accurate than the default software that comes with the T|X) I reallized the problem was gone!! You should try this too, maybe it's the same problem of extreme discalibration that my T|X had until today. This is the link:

Have you tried a hard reset? In case you need to know how...Hold Power button on Top of Palm down, then press reset button, then release reset button and continue to hold power button down until second Palm logo comes on screen and progress bar at the bottom of screen completes. If you release the power button and it asks which language you want to use you have done this correctly.

assuming that you use your palm tx on a windows xp system, files from the emails could be corrupted. are you using palm desktop or outlook?
if you are using palm desktop, you can rename the back-up folder to old and try to resync

Check the files on the Palm. If you see these two files (or either of them)
AppSlipRotate.prc and StatusBarLib.prc
delete the files and do another Hotsync.

They shouldn't be there - they were needed for the T3, so going from a Zire to a TX shouldn't bring them in - but possibly they were on the Palm already or something.
