I have a frigidaire FWS833A top load washer and my washer won't stop filling up on any water temp or on any cycle How can I repair it myself
I have a Maytag that had that problem. Mine has a plastic tube inside of the machine that connects to a sensor. As the water level rises, some of it goes into this tube creating air pressure on a sensor that signals the machine that the water is at the selected level. The bottom of the tube had come loose and just needed to be put back onto the fitting. I accessed this tube by lifting the top of the machine, and it is in the back. Very easy to get at. I hope this works for you.
There is a water connector that the water lines from the house connect to the washer. you will need to take the panel off. you should see a blue plastic box where the hoses connect. you will need to replace this piece. it should have wires on it and that tells the washer when to open the valve for water to come through and when to stop.
