When i go onto friend stream, try to log in on my facebook account, I get a message saying 'There was a connection error while attempting to login. Retry?' The internet works, as i can use the internet application but why wont this?

I think you have to send a message to Facebook trying to reclaim your original account. You need to try to log onto it, and/or have it send a new password link to your original EMAIL address, the one you used to make the account. You should receive an email from them after that and use the link to update/change your password and repossess your account.

Facebook likes to record and assume your main connection place to their site is your only home/connection place.

They don't understand that people like to connect to Facebook from other computers. That's all it's doing is saying "Hey, this is your account, but were not sure if it's you or not". so they simply want you to verify you are who you are....

Facebook has become a daily or near-daily habit for many people all over the world: People spend more than 700 billion minutes every month on the site, talking to friends, playing games and sharing information. While signing up with Facebook is simple, sometimes accessing an existing account can prove to be problematic. This can occur for a variety of reasons.
1.Incorrect Password
Facebook users who attempt to log into the site with an incorrect password will not be able to access their account until they go through the password recovery process. Users can recover their Facebook password by clicking the "Forgot Your Password?" link underneath the password login field. Users must enter their Facebook email address, linked mobile phone number, Facebook username, or their name and a friend's name. If your profile is deemed to be a potential fake profile, the account may be disabled by Facebook. When this occurs, the user will get a message upon attempted login that provides a link to the "Confirm Your Identity" page. This page provides possible reasons that the account may have been disabled. In some cases, it is due to the user not confirming an identity via a phone number.

This happened to a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. First, I would suggest restarting the computer. My friend simply waited (it was a day) and the error went away. It seems to be an error on Facebook's side, since trying to login onto that account anywhere has the problem (another computer, phones, etc.). Sorry I couldn't give a definitive answer, but if in a day it's not back to normal, you can always contact Facebook directly at 650-543-4800 (granted this phone stinks what from I've heard, but it's better than nothing).

Hi there, are you still having the same problem on your Facebook account? I had found this link on Wikipedia (http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Error_codes) this contains all the server error of Facebook. Though, it so happen that ERROR 127 and 552 are not listed to them. You may try to log in on Facebook on different terminal and see if you will be having the error problem. Also, you may try other Facebook (of a friend or a family member) and see if the site is working fine on other account using your PC. If this works, it could be that your account is corrupted. This would mean you'll be needing to create a new account.

In the facebook log in page, at the button their is a link where you can ask for your lost password, its possible that with the virus the password have change. Try this and email me again if you still have problems.
