Sony HDR-A1P prosumer HD video camera is malfunctioning. Both viewfinder and captured footage is showing a pattern of parallel lines across whole of the image area. They look a bit like moire pattern lines. They are more obvious in SD but are there in HD as well. The enlarge with zooming in. Lens assembly and sensor block have both been replaced but didn't solve the problem. I have been told that the camera needs a new mother board? Does this make sense? Are there more obvious solutions?

SOURCE: Sony HDR-HC3 camera won't connect in HD mode in iMovie HD or FCP HD

What software are you using to capture the HD footage? Are you using the supplied software, or another package. It is likely that you have a software incompatibility. i.e. windows will recognise DV natively, but HDV requires specific codecs and software installed on your PC.

How I fixed the E:61:00 on my Sony DSC-P71 digital camera.

Symptoms :

· After pressing the power button in capture mode, the lens would extend and a slight humming from what appeared to be the auto focus motor could be heard for about 5 seconds. When the motor stopped humming, the camera would beep and display E:61:00 in the LCD Screen.

· Camera would extend the lens but not be able to focus on anything past 8 inches or so.

· Zoom in and zoom out would not work.

· Playback mode and the Setup mode was not affected.

A Picture of the E:61:00 Error Message

Solution :
This may sound crazy and this has not happened since I did this but here is what I did to get rid of that error message. I have not had that problem since but here was my steps:

· Turn the camera off

· Hold the camera face down over a hard surface (Like you are going to take of your desk) with only about half an inch above the surface.

OR reference the video files below for an alternate method.

· Turn the camera on

· Let the lens extend into the hard surface, don't let it extend all the way. Mine retracted slightly and then tried to extend again (let it extend the second time).

· Lift the camera away from the hard surface and notice that the error message is gone.

Please help me ... how can i transfer videos from my Sony HDR-FX1000E Camcorder tape to save it into my laptop (SonyVPCEB1M1E)? i will be waiting to hear from you... thanks a lot.

Transferring video from your FX1000E should be quite simple using an HDMI cable. If you've recorded in HD, the files may be quite large, so make sure there's enough space on your HD to accommodate them or the transfer will error out (which might be the problem you're experiencing). Once transferred, the most recent version of Windows Media Player should be able to play them. You may want to convert them to MP4 files to save some space too. If space is an issue, think about getting a 1TB external hard drive to transfer them to. You can then plug both the FX1000E into your laptop and the external drive into your laptop at the same time and when capturing the footage save it directly to the external drive.

Sony HDR-TG3E features:
- 1920x1080i HD video recording
- 4 megapixel still photo recording

Transfer & Edit Sony HDR-TG3 AVCHD videos:

However, you may face problem when trying to log and transfer AVCHD videos from Sony Handycam HDR-TG3E to Final Cut Express (FCE) 4 or Final Cut Pro (FCP) 5. After transferring HD .mts videos from camera to computer hard drive, just run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac as the Mac Sony HDR-TG3 MTS converter to deinterlace .mts videos and convert .mts to .mov for FCE and FCP, if you want to edit HD videos.
Alternative way to transfer HDR TG3 videos for Mac and PC:

Can't seem to transfer footage from my SONY HDR SR10 to my imac

I don't know if you would call this a solution but I do know that some computers or programs will not except certain cameras. For instance I have a Sony computer and the editing program I have is Adobe Premier which will not except footage from my JVC camera but will except the footage through my Canon camera. I think the Eggheads that design these programs just like to screw with people.
