Sony HDR-A1P prosumer HD video camera is malfunctioning. Both viewfinder and captured footage is showing a pattern of parallel lines across whole of the image area. They look a bit like moire pattern lines. They are more obvious in SD but are there in HD as well. The enlarge with zooming in. Lens assembly and sensor block have both been replaced but didn't solve the problem. I have been told that the camera needs a new mother board? Does this make sense?
