I have dell inspiron N4010..... i have installed all required drivers.... i m facing problem with its webcam...... previously it was working fine bt one day when i started my laptop it showed there is no integrated webcam n there was no driver there in the device manger..... after some days it was again working fine bt after 2 days the same problem...... please help me out with this problem.... waiting for ur response

You can connect to internet and follow the procedure
: -
go to --- my computer > right click on it > go to properties > device manager > click on the computer name shown in device manager screen >click scan for hardware changes > then the driver will install automatically .

Try to install the latest drivers from the Dell website.

Boot into Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot. Right click My Computer and Manage. Check for hidden devices ubder View and delete all CD drives. Reboot and Windows will auto install.

You have a bigger problem if it fails to install and work. Then I would try re-seating the drive physically. GL

Go to google and type in "dell support" (without the quotes) in the search box. Look for drivers and downloads and click the link. Input your computer's model (inspiron n4010) and the operating system. You'll see all the drivers including the ones that pertain to flashing the bios. Download and install it.

I also faced the same issue on my dell Inspiron.
The problem is that my USB driver got corrupted somehow and hence my laptop stopped detecting nay USB drive.
I found out that there is a driver that we need to re- install. But then again the problem is
Dell N4010 does not have drivers for Windows 8 :-(
So I needed to install it in compatibility mode.

Hi click on this link , the results are for win7 64 bits if yours is a 32 bit change it first and reload the page, click on Netowrk it should have 8 choices download and installl the Intel Drivers in the list and your pc should be up and running, dell uses Intel products, good luck

Am sure since it a core i5 it has to be under warranty, take them to task! :) meanwhile just try re-installing the webcam driver once again. if it does not work maybe while closing the lid harshly the webcam has got spoilt, anyway dell claims to give replacement , it's time for them to prove it .

Right click on an empty part of the desktop, go to "screen settings"
Then adjust the resolution slider to 1366x768.

before installng the driver you must first remove it by uninstalling the previous driver from your machine. To do that, go to control panel, click the webcam software that you use then click uninstall. after uninstalling put the cd to the dvd rom drive then, run it, then install it.
