The unit will not power on with the remote nor with the power button on the right side of the unit.
Same thing happened to my ilo. There are four capacitors that are bad on the power board. You can usually tell its bad because at the top it bulges out. Here is what you need to do. Unplug the tv, open up your ilo find the power board ( the power cord plugs into it). Then find the capacitors that are bad (they are the around things usually in blue color) and remove them by soldering the other side. On mine there where three 1000uf 16v and one 470uf 35v. Those are the ones that need replacing. I replaced them with a higher voltage rating 1000uf 35v and 470uf 50v. All you need to do is solder them back on but make sure you solder them back the right way (plus goes to plus on the board or you will be in trouble). I found the capacitors at radio shack for about 1.50 a peice. If you dont know how to solder look it up on youtube. If that does not work there might be couple more bad capacitors that need replaceing just need to find them and you can tell by a small bulging top.
If there are no bad caps and you are not getting any voltage then it might be a bad transformer. Check it to see if it has any burn marks inside the coil.
brian_0 if the power supply provides the same voltage and current then you should be able to use any power supply. but you should first check if there is something really wrong with your power supply. Just check the voltage on out put and see if it matches what the label there. If it does not then its the power supply. if the the voltage matches with the lables then it the circut board that controlls the power supply. I dont really remember the supply board that i had so i cant really tell you sorry. if you need some more help email me at [email protected]

Same problem, will not power on.Makes funny noise like it's trying to come on but doesn't.
Woke up this morning and tv will not turn on. Red light just stays lit. I've been doing the unplugging and plugging for months now. Blamed it on my kids PS3 but after reading this site, it's just a crappy TV. I've owned the TV for over 2 years now and no warranty. Called Wal-Mart and the KID said the light bulb was burned out????? Whatever!!!! Any other ideas to get it to come on besides going out and buying another tv?
SAME TV AND SAME PROBLEMS IM LOOKING FOR ANSWER'S TOO.
I've had mine for a little over 2 years too. The standby light is on, but the picture is not coming on. I'm currently having mine repaired at a TV repair shop. I am aware of the problems with this tv. I've been trying to go through the proper channels, but the number that customer support gives you has no answer. It was a great tv, until this happened. After reading evryone else's horror stories, I'll never buy store brand again. I'll keep updates to my situation.
Just heard back from my repair man. Fortunately, my power supply was okay. Also, he found the parts locally. Although it will cost me 113.27 to have it repaired, it will get me by until I can buy a new and better hdtv. I wish I could have had it repaired by a manufacturer, but there is no one that you can contact. This has been an adsolute nightmare. Best of luck to everyone else.
tv does not come on, but it clicks like it want to.
my lct32ha36 will not power on. I opened it up to look at the power supply board. I couldnt find any suspicious looking caps or burnt areas as another poster suggested. I disconnected the output connectors of the supply to see if it would put out any voltages. It did not. In most supplies like this, they put out a standby voltage so the TV can respond to the remote. I did not see that either. The fuses in the supply are not blown. My supply is a VP210UG01. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement supply or have just the supply, not the whole TV, repaired? Or does anyone have any additional tips on how I might repair it myself?
I have the same exact problem as brian_0. Any solutions for it yet? My caps all look fine, i even replaced three that people suggested but it didnt make a difference. My onboard light does not stay on.... It momentarily flickers on when i plug the tv in.
Timezone88: What is the model of the ILO power supply you were able to fix? Is it the VP210UG01, or one of the MLT series? Does it have 5 connectors at the top of the supply, one for 24v, one for 12v and 9v, another for 24v, one for 5v, and finally one for 5v standby and on/off? What I would really like to find out, if I cannot find a replacement VP210 series, would a MLT series work in my TV.
