Question about Acer Computers & Internet

Ad

Your question is interpreted in following way as it is not clear as cube of what & minus of what?

2x minus x cube plus 5 x minus 2

Solution 1:

= 2 x -1 x cube plus 5 x minus 2

= -2x cube plus 5 x minus 2

= cube of -2 plus 5 x minus 2

= (-8 +5) x -2

= -3 x -2

= 6

Solution2:

=2x-1x cube of +5 x -2

= -2 x 125 x -2

= 500

I think logically the solution 2 must be right. How you interpret the question is important.

5x (-3x) = 2x -3x - -3x = 0

The equation then becomes 2x=10 2x/2 = x and 10/2 =5

then x=5. does it work 5x5=10+3*5 YES

The equation then becomes 2x=10 2x/2 = x and 10/2 =5

then x=5. does it work 5x5=10+3*5 YES

I assume the 10x2 means 10 squared. (I will show it as 10x**2)

(22x+11)(10x**2+5x) factors into"

11(2x+1)*5(2x**2+1x)

=55(2x+1)(2x**2+1x)

=(55x)(2x+1)(2x+1)

Multiplied out, it becomes 55x(4x**2+4x+1)

= 220x**3 + 220x**2 + 55x

(22x+11)(10x**2+5x) factors into"

11(2x+1)*5(2x**2+1x)

=55(2x+1)(2x**2+1x)

=(55x)(2x+1)(2x+1)

Multiplied out, it becomes 55x(4x**2+4x+1)

= 220x**3 + 220x**2 + 55x

Let the two numbers be X and Y:

X + 3Y = 5

2X + Y = 8

Rewrite the second equation to Y = 8 - 2X and substitute in first equation:

X + 3(8-2X) = 5

X + 24 - 6X = 5

-5X + 24 = 5

-5X = 5 - 24

-5X = -19

X = 19/5 =**3.8**

Y = 8 - 2(3.8) = 8 - 7.6 =**0.4**

Check: 3.8 + 3(0.4) = 3.8 + 1.2 = 5

2(3.8) + .4 = 7.6 + 0.4 = 8

X + 3Y = 5

2X + Y = 8

Rewrite the second equation to Y = 8 - 2X and substitute in first equation:

X + 3(8-2X) = 5

X + 24 - 6X = 5

-5X + 24 = 5

-5X = 5 - 24

-5X = -19

X = 19/5 =

Y = 8 - 2(3.8) = 8 - 7.6 =

2(3.8) + .4 = 7.6 + 0.4 = 8

We can write this polynomial as:

You can see this polynomial in following picture:

Notice that it intersects x axis for x=-2, 1 and 3 (because these are roots of polynomial).

- (x-(-2))*(x-1)*(x-3)=
- (x+2)(x-1)(x-3)=
- (x+2)[x*(x-3)-1*(x-3)]=
- (x+2)*(x^2-3x-x+3)=
- (x+2)(x^2-4x+3)=
- x*(x^2-4x+3)+2*(x^2-4x+3)=
- x^3-4x^2+3x+2x^2-8x+6=
- x^3-2x^2-5x+6

-2/3x - 5 = 7(x+3)
x-5(-3/2) = -19/2x - 19/2
x = -19/2x - 2
21/2x = -2
x = -4/21

Press Y= (the key at the very top left, above the blue 2ND key). On the Y1= line, enter (-) 5 / ( 2 X ) - 2 if the function is "negative five over 2x minus 2" or (-) 5 / 2 X - 2 if the function is "negative five-halves x minus 2".

(The (-) is the key to the right of the decimal point.) Then press GRAPH (the very top right key) and the graph should appear. You can press WINDOW (just to the right of the Y=) and change the window settings if you wish.

If this doesn't do it, post a comment and we can go from there.

You can solve it with following method.

5x+3y=6 2x-4y=5

So 5x=6-3y so 2[(6-3y)/5]-4y=5

So x=(6-3y)/5 so 12-6y-20y=25

so -26y=25-12

so -26y=13

so y= -(1/2)

2x-4y=5

so 2x=5+4y

so 2x=5+4(-1/2)

so 2x=(10-4)/2

so 2x=6/4

so x =3/2

The value of x=3/2 and value of y= -1/2

Let me know if you need further assistance.

i think there are programs but with something as simple as that you should be able to work it out manually....

3x+25-5x=5x-5x

-2x+25-25=0-25

-2x=-25

x=25/2 or 12.5

3x+25-5x=5x-5x

-2x+25-25=0-25

-2x=-25

x=25/2 or 12.5
