I went to press the Play/Pause button for the dishwasher this morning and it wouldn't beep or do anything. The light is on above the button. I then went to press the On/Off button to reset it.....and now there is two permanent blue lights active on the front panel. I went to open the drawer to see the internal panel. And usually when you open it it makes a sound like running your fingers down a keyboard. Nothing. I also tried to push the Fast Forward button on the internal panel, and still nothing. no receptiveness or noise.....I have also had a really bad smell coming from the connected drain over the past 2-3 days. Could this also be apart of the issue? Thank you for your time

Secure power to the machine at the curcuit breaker. Wait one to two minutes and re energize. That should reset the logic board.

Not near enough info here to even speculate. What is the model #? Does the manual have a reset procedure? Try turning off the breaker for 15 minutes,

SOURCE: Bosch Dishwasher won't drain, cancel drain lights blink

I had a similar problem and called out an engineer. When he ran it on rinse it worked fine. Said the micro chip had got confused because I kept pressing buttons. Worked fine for a few weeks and has started playing up again. I have reset it again and hope for the best!

SOURCE: keyboard not responding

Solution. My wireles keyboard stopped working except for the F-Lock key, the Media key and the sleep key. It wasn't batteries, even though I tried, communication was there because the above keys were working. Remove the batteries from your keyboard and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Press the red connect button a few times and other various keys every few minutes during that time. This may be the whole "capacitor discharge" trick, but I tired that with someone elses instructions and my keyboard did not work after 2 minutes of key pressing. I think it just needed more time to clear out the secure settings. Good luck, I was about to trash this keyboard until I tried again

SOURCE: blinking lights on control panel

Same issue, machine is about 30 days past waranty. Door switch broke, but of course they (GE repair) do not fix the switch, you have to order the Escutcheon Body (whole panel) to fix ~$350 total.

We have a whirlpool ADG 7800 dishwasher ,getting a beeping sound and start button flashes 12 times? Any help

Hi
.
Ok try this and see what happens.
.
Hold the start button again till it beeps
Then select the first cycle on the left which should be the rinse cycle
Then turn the dishwasher off
Then press and hold the start button and with this held in turn the dishwasher on.
Once the start light is flashing let go
Now press the start button once and close the door.
.
Now it will run a 12 minute test cycle. If it goes wrong it will drain the water out and beep. So open the door and count the number of flashes from the start light inbetween the pause and let me know.
.

My fisher n paykel draw dishwasher wont start it has three buttons a (on/off )(play/pause)(lock symbol) wat do i press to make it all start,

First press the ON/ OFF button to see if the display lights up. Once you select the program from the panel then press the PLay/ Pause button to start the cycle. Pressing the key button will prevent accidental pressing of the ON/ OFF or the Play./ pause button when the dishwasher is running. It is a child lock button. To turn it off (if you have selected it) press Keylock button again.

WAKE THE WASHER BY PRESSING ANY BUTTON.

WAIT 5 SECONDS.

PRESS AND HOLD THE START AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS SIMULTANEOUSLY.

ALL LED'S WILL GO BLANK AND AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE CONTROL WILL SIGNAL THE STORED CODE USING AUDIBLE BEEPS AND BLINKING LED'S. THE CONTROL WILL REPEATEDLY SIGNAL THE CODE, AS LONG AS THE START AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS ARE PRESSED. A TWO-SECOND PAUSE BETWEEN REPEATS AFFORDS YOU THE ABILITY TO MAKE ACCURATE COUNTS TO IDENTIFY THE CORRECT ERROR CODES.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: ON A SMALL NUMBER OF WASHERS WITH SERIAL

NUMBER PREFIX XC4, IF THE PREVIOUS PROCEDURE DOES NOT PREFORM AS

SPECIFIED, FOLLOW THE OPTION BELOW:

* FOLLOW ALL PREVIOUS STEPS BUT INSTEAD OF PRESSING START AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS, PRESS AND HOLD OPTIONS AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS."

*THE CONTROL WILL PAUSE FOR 2 SECONDS, THEN REPEAT THE CODE AS LONG AS THE TWO BUTTONS ARE PRESSED AND HELD."

NOTE: A LETTER APPEARING IN THE CODE STANDS FOR A NUMBER HIGHER THAN NINE: A=10 B=11 C=12 D=13 E=14 F=15 "

"EXAMPLE CODE F1: THE FIRST DIGIT WOULD BE 15 AND THE SECOND WOULD BE 1. IF THIS CODE WOULD APPEAR ON A WASHER IN THE GOOD MODEL LINE, THE FIVE INDICATOR LIGHTS WOULD BLINK FIFTEEN TIMES AND THE START INDICATOR LIGHT WOULD

I can't get the control panel to reset. The wash cycle light comes on but it just beeps and the dishwasher won't start. I press the start button and it stops beeping for a minute but it still...

II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.

The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

''clean'' light flashing (whirlpool Dishwasher GU2300XTLS1 model)

I had the same problem recently and a repair person came to my home to fix the dishwasher. He said he had to reset the control panel. He did this simply by making sure the soap dispenser door inside the washer was closed, then making sure the main dishwasher door was closed and locked. Then he quickly pushed the Heated Dry button and the Hight Temp wash button alternately. He said each button needed to be pushed twice within five seconds. After he did this all the lights on the control panel came on, then turned themselves off before the washer went in to a test cycle. This simple reset fixed the whole problem. Works great so far.
