SOURCE: emodio no longer displays the portable device (samsung 4g YP-P2)

k this is how im getting "through" it, unistall emodio then downlaod it again...
when it (emodio) asks you if u want to run the update, cancel it, im guessing it was something in the previous update that screwed us all over but if you skip the update your MP3 should register fine.
Ps: dont worry if you re-install emodio ontop of the one you already have it should keep all your songs registered also, but dont quote me on it.
hope i helped !!!

What videos can it play?

Any videos that are in the proper format.

Download and install the "Sansa Firmware Updater", connect your Fuze, and run the Updater. Besides making sure that your Fuze has the most up-to-date firmware, it'll allow you to download the "Sansa Media Converter", which can convert most videos directly onto your Fuze in a format that it can play.

Video trouble

Maybe? Videos that play on your PC may not be supported on your device. If this is so your device will either say file not recognized or unsupported file, or just not play.Even if it supports AVI files they may not play due to unsupported size, bit rate, codex.Did the player come with a file converter? try converting a small file and try to load it,play it.Good Luck

My samsung yp-s3 mp3 player wont let me put videos on it

After 2 days of figuring out, I came with the solution today. Most probably your computer is running under windows vista. well emodio doesnt support such to do the transfer. What I did is downloaded a program (free) called "any video converter". All videos have to be converted in WMV extension file, so emodio can recognize and does the conversion to SVI ( the yp-s3 extension). So after you convert the original files into WMV files, take the converted files and add them into emodio. Emodio will convert it into SVI, but the transfer to the MP3 will failed. This is the magic:

close emodio. Leave your MP3 conected. Go to where emodio saves the converted files. When u go to that folder, you will see your files, but you can tell your computer wont be able to play it, as the files icon is just with a white background. Just drag it into the YP-S3 video folder and voila! Disconnect your MP3 from the computer, turn it on and enjoy your videos!!!!!!!!!!

Putting videos on my mp3

GOT IT!!!!!

Download the emodio software, install and add files from DESKTOP!!!!! (copy there). Once into Emodio, click the arrow over to convert and transfer. Let it convert and try to transfer.....after it reports failed to transfer, go to default folder for converted file(win7 is documents/video/emodio/videos) copy to s3/s3/video.

done

How do you put video on mp3 player

okay, first of all this is probably one of the many other ways you can put videos onto the P2, so how I do it is to convert the video file to "avi" then use "emodio", the software that came with the player (if not with player, you can go to www.emodio.com to download it) then convert the video from avi to svi from there. thats basically it~

Can Transfer Pics and music but not video

download Emodio from emodio.com
this is the solution !!!!!!
after the installation , the software should recognize ur device , and allow u to transfer videos
if not , try to reinstall emodio ,
after the 2nd installation , it will work completely
the software allows you to transfer videos to the mp3 ,
or at least convert them easily to .svi format , and then u can easily copy and paste them in your mp3

When i try to convert avi video to put on to my creative zen it tells me it can't do it because the codex has not been installed onto the player what does this mean, what can i do about it?

You need codecs to be installed to play .avi files.
here is the link for codec software .Install it and then play the files.

P2 player

The video formats have to be in .svi thats the only format the player can pick up, emodio or the media player should do this. If not you could try to download a file converter and convert them into the right format maybe.
