I have only had dehumidifier for a few wks but have had them in the past. I am getting an E2 error....Tried all trouble shooting problems I read in manual and still E2 error. No clue what that is. Filter is fine, bucket in correctly, tired unplugging nothing is helping...It won't allow me to push reset or any buttons on dehumidifier.

    Thanks Gas Logs, I planned on calling them tuesday just thought I'd try this until then. It shouldn't be a voltage problem as the last one I have was twice the size but who knows. And I wish the manual had the error codes in them but it doesn't ugh. Thanks again

I had a DE45EK-T for a couple months, when it displayed the E2 I tried the various things on this site, Nothing worked, while looking around the unit I popped off the control panel (it can just be removed with a butter knife) somehow water was massing next to the circuit board. I used a hair drier to dry it off and it worked fine after that (put a shopping bag over the panel when I snapped it back in, hopefully that'll keep it dry).

Sueann, it may very well be a voltage problem, since it won't allow you to reset the unit, by pressing the reset button on the cord. Plus, there is no reference to it in your Owner's Manual. On Tuesday, call Haier Customer Support @ 1-877-337-3639 and one of their Tech Service people can advise you what the error code is and how to solve it. Since you've only had the unit a couple of weeks and the warranty is still in effect, it's the best way to handle it.

    Before I responded to you, Sueann, I had already checked the Owner's Manual in by data base. As Haier only makes one 45 pint dehumidifier. It is rather unusual that they don't list the Error Codes for that model. I would definitely, mention that when you call.

My Danby dehumidfier model DDR2510E showed the code E2 after I emptied it and now won't work and no where in my manual does it say what to do or what it means.

The E2 error you are receiving is likely the float switch sensor when turns the system off when the bucket is full. Please contact our customer service department to be connected with a service depot in your area.

E2 error

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Haier does not list the Error Codes and what the problem is, in their Owner's Manuals. To find out what E2 indicates you will have to contact Haier Customer Support
1-877-337-3639. It's very important to have your Model Number handy before you call.

Quit running and displays E2 in the F/C window.

E2 error indicates that the air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit, before removing the filter. If you wash the filter, it must be completely dry, before reinstalling it. DO NOT run the dehumidifier without the clean filter installed.

Haier 45 Pint Electronic Dehmidifier Error Code E2

Jason, currently the only 45 pint dehumidifier that Haier sell is Model # DE45EK or DE45EK-L or EK-T. If any of those matches the Model Number of yours, you can down load and print the Owners Manual from the link below. However, the model numbers I listed make no reference to Error Code E2. If your Model Number does not correspond to any of those numbers, your unit is probably no longer manufactured or available.

With that said, there are two things you can do. First, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and wait 12 - 15 minutes. Then, plug the unit back in and turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. Did the Error Code clear itself. If so, set the controls as you normally would.

If that didn't solve the problem you can contact Haier Customer Service at 877-337-3639 and they will advise you what to do, to clear the error code.

Haier dehumidifier model de45ej-t What does code e2 mean? Unit does not run.

Dehumidifier (DE45EJ-L) shows only E2 on the display -- no "buttons" work. Had been working perfectly -- we turned it off a few days ago. Any suggestions??

My Duracraft DD-TEC10E dehumidifier has come up with an E2 message that I cannot clear to make it work, any ideas?

DIY fix for Duracraft TEC10E E2 error, in case it's useful for others:
(When I tried to get a replacement temperature sensor via UK/Ireland support (kaz.com -> www.hot-europe.com) I was told that a replacement sensor was not available, nor was my unit serviceable).
Anyway, after a bit of messing with a variable resistor, I found that it would trigger E2 at a resistance of 560-580K, and also at resistance < ~1K (I stupidly destroyed the faulty temperature sensor trying to take it apart, without first checking what kind of resistance it presented, so I don't know whether mine broke OC or shorted).
Assuming an NTC thermistor, and a threshold of 0degC - the sensor is just to stop the dehumidifier cooling coil from icing up AFAIK - a 150K NTC thermistor with 'B'(25/100) value of 4400 should give a suitable replacement, with a 0degC resistance of 579K.
I wasn't able to find an exact such replacement, but I got a 150K/B~4000 from Maplin, put a 170K resistor in series, sheathed it up and installed it, and initial results look good - putting an ice-cube on the new sensor will trigger an E2 on the unit.

Danby ddr401 dehumidifier reading 'E2' error code on screen.

Check the wiring that runs below the fan for nicks and cuts. I had this error code and was in the process of junking my dehumidifier when I noticed the wiring going from the capacitor to the compressor and a few other wires had somehow been chaffed and cut by the fan blade. I had already thrown the control panel away by this time so I don't know if replacing those wires would have cleared the code or not.
