Need a illustrated manual download

It appears your crib may be on recall. Please check this website by the CPSC. CPSC GRACO CRIB RECALL LINK If it is recalled, some Walmarts will let you return them for a refund or credit, no receipt required. Take a copy of the recall page with you. Good luck and if I am wrong repost with the Date of Manufacture and I will look deeper.

I just got a used graco metal baby bed and can't figure out how to install the side rail that moves up and down. Please help

These are complictaed and not very safe. Most of the older Graco cribs have been recalled.
In my experience, the metal dropside guides can come loose. This may allow a child to slide down thru the edge of the mattress and the metal dropside. I would not use the crib. It is truley unsafe.
If you insist on using it, drill a hole thru the headboard and footboard and drive a screw thru
into the soft plastic guides on the dropside to make it a stationary side. Please, for your childs sake,
get a new crib. You only get one chance with a child. It's not worth it.

Instructions for Graco 3 in 1 sleep system crib model 8740

Most if not all of the simplicity brand drop-side cribs have been recalled, including the Graco 8740.

Here is the CPSP link reguarding this crib:
http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml09/09260list.html
http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml07/07307.html

According to the CPSP information the company appears to be out of business to some degree and are not providing repair kits.

If you know where you purchased the crib, check to see what their policy is reguarding recalled baby products.

We had purchased ours at walmart almost 8 years ago and were able to return it to another store in a different state for a full refund last summer. They did not need a reciept received, they just needed the manufacturer label on the part that the mattress lies on.

Because ours was older, the customer service clerk did have to work hard to find the crib in their system, but once she did, it was not problem at all.

Toddler conversion on at least some of the cribs is simply to remove the front dropside from the crip (you may want or need to unscreen the dropside tracks to remove the actual side) Then screw the toddler rails to the front side of the crip. There should be pre-drilled holes for the toddler rails, if there are not then you may have the mattress support on backwards.

Looking for instructions to convert from crib to toddler bed graco unsure of model approximately 2 years old

There should be a paper attached to the mattress support which will include the model # of the crib. If you have that, then you may be able to return it for a refund.
