I purchased a Danco Universal Kitchen Sink Spray (10345) and Danco Universal Kitchen Spray Hose (10341) and installed them, but water is leaking from the Kitchen Sink Spray and flooding my cabinet. What's wrong?
Actually, I found out that the Kitchen Sink Spray was missing a washer. Was supposed to include two with instructions and one washer and instructions were missing.Actually, I found out that the Kitchen Sink Spray was missing a washer. I bought DANCO "universal faucet pull-out spray hose - fits all facuet brands" from Lowe's, which came with all kind of adapter and the hose quality seems to be better than overpriced Grohe spray hose replacement (Grohe part # 46092). The only problem is that you may have to prepare a large rubber washer in order to the handspray (Grohe part#46298) as I don't see this large washer in the package but it is very important to fit in place to prevent water leakage. - Michael
Do you have good water pressure in rest of house if not you may have to put a pressure booster system in. if you do there may be a water saver washer in the end of the hose on the faucet, you can disconnect the hose and if there is a washer with small holes in it you can take that out(you may have to put some type of hose washer back in the hose so it dosen't leak).
Sounds like the old style center-control delta type faucet, rubber washers describe older type but still good. The rubber seats have holes in middle, supply water to the cylinder which diverts water to the spout, and has a seal over top of ball allowing stem for handle.
Think they are talking about flex-hose type faucet accessory getting clogged, Maybe: lift the flex-hose faucet housing off the center-control faucet body? Water to it runs directly from center-control faucet and if broken seat gets in narrow line could inhibit spray.
Kitchen faucet spout too has an O-ring under where it connects to the faucet body. Unscrew large nut where meets the faucet body unit (slip-joint pliers), once free of threads, spout should pull straight up, easy or slight tug. I use bent paper clip to remove old one trying to save it in one piece so as to get exact size (that's important) to replace, push on one side then other.
Delta comes with a limited lifetime warranty. call them to get free parts. I believe you will need to check several things. Remove the spray head from the sprayer hose, point the hose into the sink drain and turn the faucet on. If it no longer makes the banging noise, replace the spray head. You need to look for a leaking spray hose under the sink also. If the faucet is making noise, replace the ball and cam assembly under the faucet handle. One other thing that I have run into is that the shut-off valves under the sink can also go bad and cause banging and vibration.
If it's from the fitting where the sprayer head is attached to the hose check to see if there is a rubber washer. If the leak is not from the lack of a washer or damaged washer. Uninstall and take back for a replacement. There is nothing wrong with what you did. It should not be leaking.
There are 2 sets of nuts and washers underneath the faucet that holds the faucet in place. loosen them and the water lines (after turning the water off) faucet lifts off from the top of the sink. Replacement the the same, just in reverse. BE SURE TO USE TEFLON TAPE OR PLUMBERS PUTTY ON THE WATER LINE THREADS TO PREVENT COSTLY LEAKS.
there is an oring in that connection that is most likey bad. turn water off and disconnect coupling to spayer. remove the black oring and match it up at your local hardware store. when installin it lubricate it with vaseline for ease of insatlltion and to help protect it during installation.
