Hoover Nextra Class A Fridge is not cold. Ice forming on fridge wall above top shelf but rest of fridge not cold. Fridge is 3 years old.

There is a timer which defrosts fridge daily . Put on manual . replace switch . check door closing , defrost , check defrost element .

Contact a professional. Sounds like either your damper door is not operating correctly and not letting enough cool air from the freezer enter, or there is an air leak that is making ice form .

Hi, I have a Hoover Nextra Fridge Freezer and last night it tripped all my electric. When I plugged it back in, it sounds like it is starting, but then after a couple of seconds clicks off again. Any ideas?

If it is not from a plugged or misaligned defrost drain tube, then it is always from air leaking into your refer section. Check you door gasket to see if it is sealing correctly all around your door. Make sure your door is shutting tightly every time. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists.

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into ice maker . If it dumps the cubes , then replace the water valve . If it doesn't , replace the ice maker . Also make sure the refrig coils are clean and free of dust , lint , pet hair , etc....

the defroster isn't close enough to the drain to be effective. remove the back wall of the inside of the freezer, remove the excess ice. clear out the ice from the drain using hot water and a turkey baster. there is a kit from whirlpool that uses a piece of metal and a screw around the defrost rod, but I found out that a piece of 14 gauge solid core wire with the insulation stripped off works great too. stick the stripped wire into the drain, 2 to 3 inches, and wrap the rest around the defrost rod.

Hi .Thanks For The Question. You Probably Have A Drain Problem, From The Freezer TO The Back Of The Fridge. Pull Fridge Away From Wall ,Remove Back Panel Clean All Coils. Locate Drain Hose From Freezer. Clean Tube. And Fridge Is A Bit Too Cold

I would turn the thermostat up towards number 4.
