Model no. GR-B218JUDA. THE FRIDGE FREEZER HAS BEEN MAKING A LOT OF NOISE IN THE LAST 2 DAYS. THE TEMP CONTROL PANEL NOW READS "ER" IN THE FRIDGE AND "FF" IN THE FREEZER ON THE CONTROL PANEL. THE FRIDGE AND FREEZER NOW SEEM TO BE WARMING UP.

first run the diagnostics on the unit from the tech sheet inside the unit,then if thermistors are bad replace these there are 2 one on the left and one on the right wall in both fridge and freezer,if good per diagnostics then replace the electronic damper door located between the fridge and freezer compartments in the upper left hand corner of the fridge behind the plastic grille as these doors break and jamb open or shut and the temps can no longer be regulated during the diagnostics tests you can hear this door operate if its operating correctly,lastly,if these fail to solve your problem,replace the main control board in the back behind a panel

is it ice build up inside the back? try dfrosting the fridge and see if that helps

I have an LG side by side fridge/freezer model GR-L206CVQA.
The display panel locks up and I cannot change the dispenser

i dont have the manual however.. this could be your freezer fan is perhaps seized.. you can test this by leaving your freezer door open to raise the temp and wait ti see if your fan comes on.. this may take upto 10 minutes so be patient

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages

Sounds like iced up evaporator fan/coils.FF- frosted freezer?er-no air flow to Fresh Food compartment?

If the panel temperature reads 0 F 0 F it is in the "DEMO" mode. This is normal if you purchase a floor model. To bring it back to normal mode press ENERGY SAVER & ADJUST FREEZER together for 3 to 5 seconds until it beeps. Then unplug the referidgerator for at least 30 seconds. Then plug it bck in. That will reset the stupid computer and get it back to normal operation.
