If your printer has been idle for too long, the tendency is that your cartridge will clog or dry out. Try dipping the printhead in a bowl with warm water+ alcohol solution for 30 seconds. Pat it dry and reinstall and see if it works.

Hello hol0,
If the printer has not been used the ink cartridge may be dried/clogged. This happens when ink does not flow for long periods of time. The cartridge may be full of ink (therefore, not giving low ink level warnings) but unable to flow due to clogged pathways. Try a new ink cartridge and that should fix your problem!
Hope this helps!

I just changed color cartridges and nothing is printing. The paper feeds and comes out blank

Go thru the panel to change cartridge. See if that help. Then turn off and wait for 15 min.

Hello, In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, etc. These printers have a chip, that will detect if it is Generic or Genunie. When using Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

Paper won't feed. It's in the back stand up area

i have had this problem with a few Lexmarks. try a lighter weight paper or lessen how much your loading into it. also make sure nothing is in the bottom of where you load the paper (example: there is a pencil in there and the paper is sitting on the pencil) If its new take it back and exchange it. when it loads the paper the bottom of the tray tilts forward. that may be faulty.

Large spring found in back paper tray, now paper wont feed thru.

You must open case first, dismantle paper feeder, and refit it. For printer diagram, try to find at printersiam.com.

Ink casette error

If you just put new cartridges in the printer, check to make sure you removed all of the protective plastic wrap that may be required to remove prior to printing.
Also, check the cartridges by removing and replacing each one. make sure there is no obstruction, or torn papers, that may cause a jam or other problems.
Also, after verifying all that. Use the printer utilities to run a test. Hopefully that should fix or clarify if there is any other problem.
Hope that helps..

Paper stops

Check that the rear paper sensor feeler arm is not broken. It is the little black plastic tab that sticks up in the middle of the paper path when your looking at the back of the printer with the cover open. If you can't see it, it's probably broken.

Standard top bin full remove paper

Hi there is seems that the machine thinks there is too much paper at the paper printout exit. If there are printouts on the top of the printer remove them and the printer will start printing or the error message will go away. If there is nothing on top of the printer then where the paper comes out after it has printed you will see a black plastic lever type it is more likely to be in the up position without breaking it if it hasn't already been broken move it so it is in the down position it is on a hinge so be careful and it should sit at an angle. Once this has been done the printer will reset the message itself.

Hope this is help you oh if the arm is broken it will need replacing (just the arm)

Thanks J
