I purchased a Navman MY50T Christmas before last and do not use it on a regular basis. Yesterday when I went to use it after fully charging it, it ran out of battery power within 5 minutes and did so every time I tried it yesterday. Do I need to replace the battery? if so, How can my battery run out with such little use lasting only 1 1/2 years my previous Navman was still being used 3 years later until it was stolen. If I do need to replace batter please advise how much a battery will cost?

Yes you need to replace the batt the reason for burn out so fast can be a number of things from moister getting into it during storage to simply bad line assembley

If you need to update your maps, check this site for downloading instructions and downloadable ISO files for installing the more current maps. They may or may not be free, depending on your previous map purchases. They also sell the upgrade software, but its a little pricey. They are located in Australia.
I found that the hardwere manuarl for the my50t is on the navDesk application installer disk.This Disk is supplied with the Navman my50t
