Which TVs will still work with an over-the-air antenna?

A TV with a built-in digital tuner (called an ATSC tuner) will be able to get free over-the-air digital programming, with no action on your part. Your TV probably has a digital tuner if it falls into one of the following categories:

  • It's a big-screen, high-definition TV bought within the last few years. The government has required sets with screens 35 inches and larger to have a digital tuner since July 2005, and sets 25 inches and larger since March 2006. Those sets are sometimes called integrated HDTVs.

Go under the setup options and do a guided channel search if it asks digital or analog then yes it is digital ready if not then no, most televisions at that time were not digital ready.

Without knowing the brand looking up models mfg. dates is difficult.
did you check back or bottom for Mfg. date? Usually near the serial number. Sometimes the mfg. date is contained in the serial number. You may also try googling the manufacturers name and view their contact information.

Durabrand tv, model BH2404D. Would like to know if digital ready

All information I found indicated that this is an NTSC receiver and will require a converter box to receive the coming digital broadcast signals. If you have cable or satellite, the drop-dead date is later and up to the provider.

Not receiving guide plus + tv listing -no problem until 2 weeks

I called TimeWarner Cable tech support, and the solution is to unplug the power to the box, after 1 min plug back in, let the box reboot, and PRESTO, this time around, the guide should be working.
Note--this is a solution for the problem of online guide that is showing No Data in the boxes, but is bringing up the grid of times/channels/date.
If you can't get the Guide at all, I don't know if this solution works.
Good luck.

This set is mounted in an 2006 model RV. We don't know if it is Digital ready for the 2009 date

Unless you are using an external antenna, it makes no difference. If you have cable, satellite service or FIOS, you are not efected. Only sets that depend on the over-air transmissions will be effected.
