TV turns on & off by itsef & changes channels by itself. Last 2 days this has been happening to my 6 year old TV. The remote control will work but the TV will continue to flip channels. Nothing has changed in my house electronically within the last 2 days

Main control board, budget tvs are made with very cheap parts. 2 years is about how long they last

One possible thought is to change the batteries in the remote itself.

I had this happen to me just last night. I noticed that it happened as soon as I turned to a particular digital channel. It would turn on and off quicker than I could change channels. To correct this:
1. Remove the cable input, the coaxial cable, from the TV

2. Turn the TV on

3. Change to a different channel

4. Delete the channel that was giving you problems from the lineup

5. Reconnect coaxial cable and you are ready to enjoy TV again.
dont know if this will work for you but it did for us ! good-day !

If you are using the remote controller, try take out the battery, see if it stop changing channel. If so, clean or replace your R/C

Press tv on the Sky remote

press and hold select and red until the led blinks twice
type in 0 0 6 0
press the power button, if the tv turns off then the press select and the remote should work all the tv functions.

If the tv does not turn off then press tv then the power button and keep doing this until the tv turns off, once it turns off press select and it should work.

the problem is with the control panel of your tv...make sure your remote doesnt have any part in this...just remove and the batteries and check if the channels still are changing.....see if the onboard switch for channel changing is stuck ?..if stuck u can use homemade tools to pull it back......if your tv is within your gurantee period...just giv a call to customer care....if not u can take it to a local repair shop...there is nothin that u can urself do to make it right ...sorry....for further info contact at

In the worse case:
It is very possible that the remote recieve on the set has gone defective. It is also possible that there is a fault with the processor in the set, and the remote signals are not being responded to.

As for your universal remote, I don't trust them.

Did you try changing the batteries in the remote? Make sure the new ones are actualy in good condition.

no there is no battary in tv.

The set works OK otherwise using its own control panel to change channels and its on/off switch to turn it on and off. 

your statements itself says that there is no problem in tv.

in my opinion problem is in  remote only.
