I cannot turn my l7580 on. we have a green light on the power cord to the machine but nothing happens when I push to power button on the front. We have called tech support and they sent us a new 7580. Still we have the same problem. Next HP sent us a new power cord. We still have the same problem and we are about to give up. I believe there is something simple like an interlock switch causing the problem. I do not have a manual to instruct me how to turn the mach. on. can you help? Larry Westin 1-530-221-7402 thx

Go into your printer options and look under advanced. There is a box that can be checked "ON" for mirror image. Use the dropdown menu to change the option to "OFF". This worked on my printer.

6 long beeps indicates that there is a problem with the memory, take them out, clean the contacts and the DIMM slots and reseat them.
Hopefully this will resolve the problem, if not new memory may be required
kind regards

Ok try unplugging the printer for about 15 minutes and plug it back in that will reset the printer and it should work fine.
Let me know how it works out

Hold the power button in on the computer for 5 seconds. Wait another 5 seconds. Now hit the power button as you normally would to turn the PC on. It should boot normally.

The machine try's to power up says checking cartidges and then all the lights will just flash and the screen says Turn power off and then on. We;ve tried everything to get the printer to start. We've had nothing but problems with this device since we purchased it. I don't think I'll be buying an HP device of any kind again.
