I have an old panasonic minidv camcorder (model no. pv-6529) that I only use to watch the tapes with my television since there doesn't seems to be a cheaper method. Well, yesterday the battery ran out so I charged the battery with a wall adapter and thought I had the correct 7.9v power adapter. So I plugged it into the camcorder and nothing happened. Now that my battery is charged it will not turn on the camcorder. I have read several blogs about this and believe I blew out a fuse/cicuit. I would like to attempt to repair myself since the camcorder was purchased more than 5 years ago (spent about $300) but don't know where to start. How can I determine if its a fuse and if I determine its a fuse, where do I purchase that? Should I also try purchasing the 7.9v power adapter to see if that works vs. running off the battery? Thank you in advance!

Obviously, fcp cant support your video files recorded by your camcorder. U need to convert these AVCHD formats to mp4 first.
Here i recommend u Pavtube HD Converter for Mac which can help u convert these video files to mp4 to edit in your fcp. No quality loss during conversion, have a try:

Support site http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/MiniDV-Camcorders/model.PV-GS500
User manual here http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PVGS500-MULTI.PDF
The USB driver gven by the manufacturer is not installing on the Laptop. you should NOT need a USB driver with windows 7 - the USB should automatically detect the camera
