I plugged in the coffeemaker at an outlet in a different room in the house. Apparently, none of the plugs in the kitchen worked (although) other appliances did work in the kitchen outlets (very strange, perhaps the coffeemaker needs more juice than other appliances) Now I have to have an electrician come out and fix the kitchen outlets...

Hamilton beach single serve coffeemaker light flashing

If the power light is flashing on your Hamilton Beach Single Serve Coffeemaker, there could be a few different issues that may be causing this. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the water reservoir: Make sure that the water reservoir is properly inserted and filled with water. If the water level is too low or the reservoir is not inserted correctly, the coffeemaker will not turn on.
  2. Check the coffee pod holder: Make sure that the coffee pod holder is properly inserted and that the lid is closed securely. If the coffee pod holder is not inserted correctly, the coffeemaker will not turn on.
  3. Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is plugged in securely to both the coffeemaker and the electrical outlet.
  4. Unplug the coffeemaker: If none of the above solutions work, try unplugging the coffeemaker from the electrical outlet and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in. This can sometimes reset the machine and fix any issues.
If none of these solutions work, it may be a more serious issue with the machine and you may need to contact Hamilton Beach customer service for further assistance.

No display on panel. It is blank and I can not turn the coffeemaker on.

Check your breaker first. Plug in something you know that works. Next , check your off on switch. This is likely the problem. the switch may feel soft. remove the cover to it and you may see a wire that is burned off the terminal. with no lights, there could be just avloosecwire. t

Cannot get the top cover removed so I can troubleshoot the electronics. All accessible screws removed. Seems to be some sort of catches where the side and top covers come together at the rear. Anybody done...

Decalcification
Decalcification refers to the removal of calcium
deposits which form over time on the metal
parts of the coffeemaker.
For best performance from your Brew Central
Thermal™ Coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit
from time to time. The frequency depends upon
the hardness of your tap water and how often
you use the coffeemaker. The flashing Clean
light will indicate when you should clean your
coffeemaker.
If the Clean light begins to flash when the
coffeemaker is turned on, it is telling you that
the calcium buildup is interfering with the
functioning of your coffeemaker and the flavor
of your coffee. To clean, fill the water reservoir to
capacity with a mixture of ¹⁄³ white vinegar and
²⁄³ water. Press the Clean button. When the self
clean light glows, turn the coffeemaker on by
pressing the on/off button. The Clean light will
shine steadily. The coffeemaker is now in Clean
mode. One cycle should be sufficient to
adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the
cycle is completed and the five beeps sound,
the coffeemaker will shut off. Turn the
coffeemaker ON to see if the Clean light
continues to flash. If it does, turn it to OFF and
then repeat the cleaning procedure with a fresh
solution of vinegar and water.
If the Clean light no longer flashes, turn the
coffeemaker to OFF and then run one cycle of
fresh cold water through the unit before using
the unit again to brew coffee.
Notes on the Clean F unction
Pressing the Clean button cancels all other
settings. If it is pressed accidentally, press it
again to return the coffeemaker to all its
previous settings. Pressing ON/OFF will also exit
the Clean Mode and turn the coffeemaker OF

We have a 2 year old Cuisinart COD 4000 series. The unit will no longer starts. We put on brew cycle and turn knob to on. Light comes on. Hear a click but it does not brew anymore. Have unplugged unit...

I just had the same exact issue, call cuisinart customer service and they'll replace it. The unit has a 3 year warranty, I had no receipt or anything and they are sending a new unit, all they ask is that I cut the power cord off of the old one and send it in.

We have a 2 year old Cuisinart coffee on demand and it just stopped coming on. We turn the buttons and nothing happens.

We had the same problem. Ours was 2 1/2 years old. The warranty is three years on the 'Coffee on Demand 4000'. If you sent in the warranty card or went online and did it when you bought the unit you can get a replacement at no cost. You'll have to cut 3 inches off the cord and send to them.
The toll free number is 800-726--0190 Good luck!

My DCC-2000 will not turn on. It worked for about an hour then the clock and everything shut off. I tried unplugging it for 10 minutes and plugged it back in but still nothing. Any advice?

Try this and let me know if it works - plug the coffeemaker in, turn the function knob to BREW, and then press all 3 buttons in the center of the coffeemaker (the 1-4 button, et, etc) and hold them for a few seconds. Let me know if the clock display comes back on.

Water won't move from reservoir/showerhead to carafe

You can try cleaning the unit first and if that doesn't work you can contact Cuisinart Warranty at 1-800-726-0190 and see what they can do for you. Do you have the original user manual that came with the machine?

As per my book on my unit (DCC-2000) you can try decalcifying the unit. I have never had any problems with that, but I use filtered water all the time and that may be the reason mine is working very well (except leak) after 18 months of age.

Per user manual....

Decalcification refers to removing the calcium deposits which form over time on the metal parts of the coffeemaker.

For best performance from your coffeemaker, decalcify the base unit from time to time. The frequency depends upon the hardness of the tap water and how often you use the coffeemaker.

To clean, fill the water reservoir to capacity with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water. Turn the coffeemaker on by turning the ON/OFF knob. One cycle should be sufficient to adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the cycle is completed and the five beeps sound, turn coffeemaker off. Repeat operation, this time using fresh cold water.

Good luck and I hope this helps your problem.
