Acer aspire 1710 msi laptop makes popping sound when turned on won't start

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm afraid that the battery died. Just remove it and boot up the laptop with a powercable plugged in. To my common sense this should work. Please give me a update if you have tried this!

Popping sounds are bad. Usually shorting electrical somewhere. Is the light on the power brick green? flashing? Red?
It's either a bad power brick or a bad connection in the laptop. You can buy a power brick fairly cheap, but if its out of warranty and the problem is not in the brick its probably not worth it to fix.

you mite have a conflict in the start up program. go into start up settings and see if theres a problem . if not try the acer recovery that should sort it out.

sounds like an unhappy computer try this

turn off computer

press F8 and turn power on at same time

should open to SAFE Mode

run that for a bit then restart

sounds like your unit did not detect the hard drive/hard disk.. try to enter on BIOS setup and check your hard drive or else you have a corrupted system.
