The lid switch its faulty bad maby loose wiring
Dear Sir/madam,
The lidswitch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the doorframe. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washingmachine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replaceit.

Under your lid if you lift it up. there is a switch. you need to make sure that the switch is being depressed completly when it is the cycle. since you can press on the lid and the cycle will restart it's self you will need to change that switch and or put something there that will depress it so will keep through the cycle.
If your washer stops periodically during a cycle, it probably means that your timer is bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.
Are you getting error message or flashing lights in the washing unit ,,,

What repair parts do I need to fix this problem?
Since I'm not a washing machine repair person I was hoping someone could help identify what parts need replaced.
E-mail address is [email protected]
Thanks so much
Replacing the motor doens't make any sense. The problem is with the lid.
No.
Okay but if we press on the lid it restarts immediately..Would that be an indication of a bad timer ?
Makes sense but, where is the switch. If I just lift the lid I don't see anything.
Thank you I'm going to purchase a new swtich
