I have a weiser combination lock and it seems to be bogging when keying the comb. in so i recharged my batteries and installed back into the lock and it still bogs. Is there one batterie better than another or do i need to lube the deadbolt? and with what?

Why do my weiser smart key locks turn to the 3 o'clock position?

I looked at the Weiser site and although it describes the method of re-keying the locks it doesn't make it clear whether the key can be removed in the 3 o'clock position without the learning tool being inserted.
If the key can be removed in that position it would seem it would only need the key to be reinserted and the lock turned back, though somehow I doubt it as that would rather defeat the object and mean you wouldn't have to keep changing the locks.

Whatever the cause is, it would seem either one of the staff or one of the residents is having a game with you, perhaps they have seen this youtube video...

Have a abus comb lock its locked i put in the four numbers which are correct but it wont open only just bough it shop put in the combination

Take it back to the shop. They will provide the correct combination or reset the combination; or will owen you a new lock or refund (if you did not actually forget the combination). Abus makes good locks.

The bolt might not be lined up correctly. It needs to operate freely. Make sure bolt operates smoothly with key and turn button .

My key pad does not respond at all, no beeps and does not lock or unlock door. Thought it was the batteries but I changed them and it still does not work. When I put the new batteries in it did flash...

There is only a one year warranty on the electronics and the maker (Stanley-Black and Decker) will not sell the electronic parts separately. Check the installation manual for a reset procedure - basically the lock might be "forgetting" it's programming. Another possibility is that it's trying to move the bolt and can't. Be sure the bolt moves freely.
If the electronics have failed and it's out of warranty, there are other brands that are key-compatible with Kwikset. Weiser locks can also be keyed to be compatible with Kwikset. You'll still have the same problem if the electronics breaks though. The main difference is that other brands don't move the bolt with battery power, they just enable it to be moved by hand.

Weiser combination lock beeps

You should check if the keyboard ribbon cable is properly connected and not pinched or cut ... Also it is possible that water has entered into the keyboard. In case you should remove and dry with a hair dryer.

Dear Sirs: I have a Weiser keyless locke

  • Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
  • Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
I contacted customer support... they tell me the FAQ information on their own website is incorrect. The opposite is true, therefore the following is correct:
  • If it does not beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced
  • If the unit continues to beep, the keypad needs to be replaced
