Retrieve messge via 'non-base' handset while using speakerphone of base

Not really a problem - just asking re: a feature. Can one use the 'non-base' handset to retrieve a message from the answering machine WHILE using the speakerphone for an active call via the 'base' unit??? Looking to buy this model yet really need that feature.Thanks...

How to dial a number on Xdect8355

If you want to make a call using the landline, first make sure that the phone is in standby and not ringing with an incoming call. Press Speaker or Home/Flash on the handset. (Both are on the left side of the handset; the speaker key is closer to the LCD screen.) Alternatively, press Home/Speakerphone on the base. Then dial the number, including the area code as needed. When you use the Speaker key, the entire call will be on the speakerphone. When done with the call press End/Clear (on the right side of the arrow keys, opposite the Home/Flash key).

This is described in the manual as the features of the keys on the base and the handset are described. The manual is available on the product page: https://www.uniden.com.au/product/xdect-8355-2/ . The current link to the manual is https://www.uniden.com.au/wp-content/uploads/OM_XDECT_8355.pdf .

I hope this helps.

(If you have paired the Uniden XDECT 8355 to a cell phone and want to use that line. Press the Mobile button then dial. (On the base, it's Mobile/Speakerphone. If you have paired the phone to two cell phones, you will be prompted to indicate which mobile device you want to use for the out-going call.)

How do I turn on my speakerphone for my Uniden EXP4540?

Sorry, Uniden EXP4540 2.4 GHz does not have a speaker phone feature. The cordless phone features AutoTalk™ and AutoStandby™. AutoTalk™ allows you to answer a call by just removing the handset from the base so you don't have to waste time pushing buttons. AutoStandby™ allows you to hang up by simply returning the handset to the base. You can check it's manual with this link http://www.uniden.com/pdf/EXP4540om.pdf.

Hand set out of range disply is on. How do I reset.

here are some tips from my manual for out of range problems
hope they help
• Only one handset can be used to make or answer a call anytime.
If another handset attempt to do so, the screen will display OTHER
HANDSET ON and then OR OUT OF RANGE. You might press PHONE
or SPEAKER again until no other handset is using the line. Use the call
transfer feature to transfer a call to another system handset
or use the speakerphone feature so multiple members of your
house can be on an active call at the same time.
• Move the cordless handset closer to the base. You might have moved
out of range.
• Ensure that the base is powered up.
• Place the cordless handset in base cradle for 1 minute to allow the
cordless handset and base to resynchronize channels.
• If the cordless handset is in its base and the charging light does not
come on, refer to the charge light is off in troubleshooting guide.
• Reset the base. Unplug the unit’s electrical power. Wait for 15 seconds
then plug it back in. Allow up to one minute for the cordless handset
and base to reset.
• Other electronic products can cause interference with your cordless
phone. Try installing your phone as far away from these types of elec
tronic devices as possible: wireless routers, radios, radio towers, page
towers, cell phones, intercoms, room monitors, televisions, personal
computers, kitchen appliances and cordless phones.

Panasonic Speakerphone base station makes noise when handsets use

Cut the wire to the speaker in the base unit. Problem solved.

I have a Panasonic KX-TG6074b phone as well, and it does the same thing. In addition I can not understand the digital voice that announces who is calling. Therefore I came up with a very simple solution to buying a new phone, because the rest works great. I cut the wire to the speaker. The only other solution in buy a phone from a different manufacturer, because Panasonic's quality stinks.

Handset has No link to base

I was having the same problem with the same model phone, and fixed the problem by rebooting the phone – unplugging the AC and phone cord from the base station and plugging both back it, then removing and replacing the handset to regenerate the security code.

Handset ?No Link To Base? error and no dial tone

2/29 Have you registered or re-registered the handset?
"No link" can mean handset is not accepting radio wave of base unit. At Mfgr website pull-down operator's manual and look for registration instructions. Some sequence of buttons will create a radio signal from base (have handset off base) then another sequence of buttons on handset will accept radio signal. If handset has "menu" button, try "menu", then "00" (zero zero) then select an accept or "OK" button. Good luck.
