The drain hole (there is no plug) should be on the bottom of the drain pan, outside the house. It may be clogged or the outside part of the unit is not tilted down by 1/4", which allows it to drain properly.
Look carefully for the drain hole, as a clog may be concealing it.

Hope this helped you.

Why is water leaking on the floor from my haier air conditioner

Window A/C units will dehumidify the rooms as they operate. The unit has drainage at the rear. It is important when installing the unit to ensure that the unit slopes slightly OUTWARD to allow the water to drain to the rear. Otherwise the drain pan fills and the water pours into the room. If the unit IS tilted outward, then check the drainage holes for obstructions.

I have a10,000 btu Haier window a/c from walmart ,whenever it rains the insulation that directs the air flow collects water and spits it out into my room. Any advice on this problem?

Andy, from what you have described, it sounds like the drip pan drain under the you is clogged and/or there is not enough downward tilt on the rear of the unit. The general rule of thumb is 1/4" to 1/2" downward tilt. The allows the water to flow to the rear of the unit, where the drain hole is located.

Resolving those two things, should solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Window air conditioner is spitting water

Hello, usually a window AC will spit water if the unit is not tilted back or if the drain is backed up, if the unit is level try tilting it back it the window somewhat. Also, if the unit does have a drain make sure it is not blocked.

It's two years old, and is now spitting out lots of water.

Should have a drain on the unit. Check for ports that have debris in them on the outside of the unit. Clean the debris out and the unit should drain normally.

Water spitting into room

If your AC is window unit, check the dirt underneath the unit and also check the level of your unit.

If your AC is a central unit, be sure check the drain pipe, should be toward to the outside.

Fan sprays water. water gurgling sound

Drainage is plugged on the air conditioner and backing up into the fan housing. Try tipping it to the outside a little to give it more drain flow toward the outside. If the back of the A/C is higher then the front you can have this problem.
