The print date option is the date the photgraph was taken, not the date it was printed.

I do not know how to set the time stamp for my FUJIFILM S1500. The date appears on the display screen when I view the pictures I have taken, but no longer appears once I download them to my computer??

The Fuji FinePix S1000FD camera supports time stamping only when printing pictures via USB with a printer that supports PictBridge. Otherwise, you will need to download the images and use an application such as "Visua Photo Time Stamp."

To print with PictBridge,
  1. Connect the camera to the printer and make sure the printer is on.
  2. Press the right-pointing arrow and hold for a second or until the USB logo is displayed on the camera
  3. Press the DISP/BACK button on the camera
  4. On the menu, select the PRINT WITH DATE option and press MENU/OK.
  5. Press MENU/OK again to start printing.

My camera shows that the date and time are set up but date does not print on picture when developed. it's a new camera and I just developed my first set of prints and there is no date on any of them. ...

On digital cameras, the data is stored with the filename. Check the back of your prints to see if the dates were not printed there. Most companies do put at least the date information on the back of the prints as well as any other metadata stored with the file produced by the digital camera. Unlike film cameras, which could only record the date by actually putting it on the picture, digital pictures contain metadata that can include things such as people tags, location tags (geotagging), etc. depending upon the capabilities of your camera. The date and time is always stored along with the filename on all digital cameras. If the company that printed your pictures did not include the date on the back of the picture, ask them if they can do it or find another source to print your pictures that can.

If this did not address your issue, please reply with any amplifying information so that I may more accurately address your issue.

I hope this helped!

How do I get the date to print on the pictures

To set datestamp to appear on your pictures:

Hit FUNC SET (middle of wheel on back)
Hit Right side of wheel to SELECT the mode you would like to have (Auto, Man, etc)
Hit Bottom of wheel to get to bottom of Left Menu on screen
Hit Right side of wheel to SELECT fifth selection (Postcard 1600x1200)

This is the only mode I have found that supports the date stamp on the Canon Powershot SD600.
P.S. Don't forget to set the correct date and time in the screen MENU under the Tools tab!
