The Dell error code 0141 is a hardware related error which appears when you first load your Dell computer. The error that normally appears will have the error code "2000-0141? and will relate to the hard drive components of your computer. This error generally shows even though there might not be anything wrong with your PC.

  • Corrupt or damaged Windows processes
  • Damaged registry settings on your system
  • A computer infected with viruses or malware
Update your antivirus and rescan your computer. If is showing again you have to re-install the OS

Error code 1000-0416 and 1000-0141
These error codes lead me to believe the video card that is on the motherboard has called it to quits. You could investigate how much a logic board for this would be, I found ebay to be a good source. This is not one of those quick fixes it will need to be taken apart. Should you worry about cost, I would be shopping for a new laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron 1521 it says it cant read Hard drive. error code 0141. I re seated the hd and it did the same thing. NOTHING" I out in a new sata Hd And it did the same.
First look up the code in Microsoft web site. This will tell you what kind of erro it is. then follow the instrution

Dell error code 0141
Error code 0141. Msg: Error code 2000-0141. Msg: No drive detected.

This is caused by the intel chipset overheating.
Your drive is usually ok, but the chip controlling the drive is too hot to function properly. Try blowing your CPU fan out with compressed air, then start using a laptop cooler to keep it cool and this problem should go away.

you should have stopped using it first...get the battery out and have it dry in an airconditioned room for several days...I know you can't afford that..water is a sort of conductor and it short-circuits sensitive electronics.

No bootable device
Error Code 0141 means no drive detected.
If that's your problem then you should take out the harddrive out and try it on another laptop or buy an external enclosure.
You can get them for $10
If it won't run on another computer that means the harddrive is bad but if it does run then it means you have a serious issue within the laptop componants.
