My Sansa M250 is only 1 month old and won't recognize Music folders now when I plug it in. My PC does recognize the device but now it only shows Audible, Config and Record. Before it showed playlist, songs, etc. I only download audiobooks using Overdrive which has worked perfectly until now.

Sansa c250 will not show music on memory card

First, make sure it's a microSD card and not a microSDHC card. If your card is larger than 2GB then it won't work in the c250.
Second, make sure all your music in a folder named "MUSIC" at the root of your card. You can have subfolders in that folder, but the top folder must have that name.

I have inserted a memory card and added music onto this but can' play it. I can see that they are there when I check the computer but I can't see them on the MP3

Make sure that the mini card is only 2g only a 4g isn't compatible.. Check in the sansa settings to see if the card is recognized...The folder and files are hidden. Connect the sansa and open up your explorer so you can see the music folder Click on TOOLS on the top of your explorer then click on FOLDER OPTIONS then click on VIEW Where it say's Hidden files and folders click on Show Hidden files and folders...You will be able to see the folder and music.. to undo reverse info..

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the SanDisk website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

MY SANSA ISNT RECOGNIZED BY MY PC!

Try connecting it to another computer and see if it will recognize it as sansa or removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier Make sure USB mode is MSC I use my computer to drag and drop my music from my music folder to the sansa media folder.... Open my computer click on folder what ever folder has your music in it and drag to media folder and drop (click on the (+)where it say's sansa )

My mp3 player won't recognize the memory card.

First, make sure it's a microSD card; the e260 won't work with microSDHC cards.
Then use a card reader to copy music tracks to a "MUSIC" folder on the card. Install the card into the e260 and you will see the additional music.

Adding Music To My Sansa e250

I never use Windows Media to add music to my sansa... If you want all music to show up click on my computer and then click on the icon for your sansa. there may be a folder that says music but if not it is a hidden folder. if this is so you must go to tools, then folder options, and then the tab that says view. under this will be an option that says hidden files and folders and click show hiden fles and folders and OK. this should allow you to see the music folder. from here on you can just copy and paste all files.
