Bar codes are created using the software to generate bar
code and printed on price tags with bar code printers. Tickets barcode
typically contain product information and pricing, but there are times when
prices should be adjusted to produce a product more salable. Establish a
barcode on a price tag, generating a new image of the barcode using a computer,
print the barcode image and paste the image printed on the sticker price.
1. A site of a software program that allows you to create an
image of the barcode (see Resources) to download.
2. See the homepage of the site and watch the program
interface. Choose the type of barcode you want to generate from the list
displayed. Enter the information you want to encode the space provided. Click
"Generate barcodes" to create barcode images. See the image and right
click on it to a drop-down menu to display. Click "Save image as" the
image of the barcode on your local computer store.
3. Place a sheet of paper label on the computer printer.
Open the folder where the image of the barcode. Right-click on the image of the
barcode that you saved and click on "Print" from the menu bar to
print.
4. Cut the bar code printed on the price tag to match, and
stick it in the bar code on the old price. Scan the barcode with a barcode
scanner and check the data sent to your computer.
