46" screen with an <8 x 11 picture!

My Samsung HDTV is four years old - had to replace the color wheel after two years. The newest problem: the TV will have a full screen when viewing the menus / channel descriptions yet when picture goes to full TV picture, the picture shrinks to a size less than a piece of paper. Spoke to an authorized repair shop - said it's either the analog or digital board ($350 + labor). Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this $3500+ HDTV - the "new" color wheel is making noise, the mini-picture issue and the total picture quality stinks. My 20-yr old Sony has a much better picture quality. HD broadcasts leave much to be desired.

By the way, we are on DISH currently and moving to AT&T fiber-optic. Any feedback on AT&T picture quality (fiber optic vs satellite)?

Thanks - Paul
