Tv remote code for haier tv l24c1180a? - Televison & Video

Is it a Haier remote? Haier customer service person says that no Haier flat screen TVs or, for that matter, DVD players, are set up to be able to work with a universal remote; only their older tube TVs do. The Haier remote must be used. So we all can stop trying to find the codes. It wold have been nice is the user guides had revealed this unfortunate absence of functionality

Replacement on the Haier website is $19.99 plus a load in shipping.

I am not sure if your remote has a search code function, Most do. Check your instructions. I proceeded to go one by one through our remote's TV codes with the search code function, pushing the power switch after each code, until the set turned on.

1. Turn on your device (i.e. TV).
2. PRESS the button for the device you want to program (TV, VCR, CABLE, AUD, etc.) then RELEASE.
3. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED for the selected device flashes twice, then RELEASE.
4. ENTER the 5 digit code for your brand from the list above.
5. You should receive 2 quick flashes on the LED for the selected device after entering your code.
6. PRESS the POWER button to test the code. (On VCR,LD,and CD players use PLAY)

We have a Haier TV model 3 HL32R2a, the cable remote no longer turns the set off or on or controls the volume. We can only do that with the tv remote. Tried putting in the universal code, and the Haier code and it didn't work. Please help.

The GE Universal Remote will do the job. I have on and it works for my Haier TN201AUV TV. You can also find a replacement Haier remote on Remote Hound's web site.

On the other side of this I have a Dish Network remote that WILL NOT work. The Dish Network remote does not list any codes for Haier. Dish Network Tech Support could offer no help.

In an attempt to solve the problem myself, I looked on-line at GE's site listing all of the manufacturers' for their remotes and found the identical code that worked for my Haier TV also listed under APEX TV's. The Dish Remote lists (11) APEX TV codes. Ironically, NONE OF THEM WORK!

I'm stuck with using both remotes... and that's BULL$H!T

I found the 3 digit code for my Haier tv by auto search it was 226.
